    and Cotto beats Margarito,

Would Mayweather Cotto be a Marketable fight?

I asked because Arum implied that fight as possible if Mayweather wanted it.

I think so, Cotto has to do something to show he's still at a decent level first though and beating Margo would do that.

It would be a marketable fight but not necessarily a competitive one.

Cotto would have two wins over a b-level fighter (Foreman) and Margo since Pac. A win over Margo, while impressive, is hard to gauge as we don't know how long Margo was cheating and if he has anything left after the plaster embarrassment and subsequent beating at the hands of Mosley.

Regardless, if May beats Pac and Cotto beats Margo, May/Cotto becomes the biggest ($$$) fight out there.

Cotto is not & never has been on Mayweathers level, might be an ok fight but not one where the outcome would be in question.

I am not saying that Cotto could beat Mayweather, however I think Cotto has the physical tools to possibly beat Mayweather. The only thing he is missing is the mental fortitude. With Emmanuel in his corner who knows!

I'm not sure there is a compelling fight left at any weight class under 154 for Mayweather after Pacquiao. Let's face it, if he manages to convincingly defeat Manny Pacquiao, why would a fight with Cotto (who Pacquiao annihilated) be of any interest? Really, I find myself asking, where is the challenging, casual fan-freindly $20M+ payday matchup for Floyd Mayweather after a Pac fight?

atleast if manny wins you knwo hed be exciting vs bradley or some 140 guys and berto or moseley

if floyd destroys manny the only guy id be at all interested in would be martinez for 160 or maybe even sturm possibly paul williams

I actually think Cotto has a better shot at beating Mayweather than Pacquiao simply because of his good jab.

I know I'm going to get **** on for saying this. I say a prime Cotto would beat mayweather. He's a pressure fighter, has a great jab and a body puncher. Exactly what Mayweather has trouble with
