A bias is a prejudice in a general or specific sense, usually in the sense for having a predilection to one particular point of view or ideology. One is said to be biased if one is influenced by one's biases. A bias could, for example, lead one to accept or not-accept the truth of a claim, not because of the strength of the claim itself, but because it does or does not correspond to one's own preconceived ideas.

Like I said you have biasness towards him and your so in denial you don't even realize it yourself. Most people who are brainwashed usually don't. People are set in their ways usually don't and you have a little of both. And there is no logical reason, only in your mind there is.

Let me rephrase, any bias I have against him is totally rational.

I have a bias against murders, I have a bias against rapists, I have a bias against idiots. Using your partiuclar definition of bias, they are neccesary.

I do not have an unfair bias however, it is based on fact.

Fencing is a linear art only in that it is conducted a long walkway and the point only can be used. The laterals in JKD come from boxing and ballroom dancing. I presume the mistake is yours and yours only?

I too have trained with a few JKD'ers. None subscribed to the excuse you have just given - they just cross trained like a true JKD'er.

Your too wrapped in your Sifu's bubble and if he knew he should tell you the same thing. Create your own page as Bruce would say.

Now there are 20 misinformed assholes here (including me) who think Abbott would get medieval on Carruthers's ass in less than 20 seconds.

The MMA as we know today is a microscope of Bruce Lee's technique. Tommy Carruthers is a very good student of Bruce Lee Jeet Keet Do and that means he has an advantage over any standard MMA fighter.

If JKD was that effective against a MMA, many of the top MMA would already be training in it.

These guys do want to win. The more they win the more they get paid.

If JKD would give them the winning edge they would be doing it for sure. More $$$$$$$ :deal

There is that very slim possibility that every single top MMA fighter in the world is just ignorant and that they realize how useful it would be to them and their bank account. :think

Then again I'm not that F**KING STUPID to believe something so ridiculous.

    :rofl

Pretty much how I see it. Prime Tank was a walk forward, balanced heavy handed fighter able to take a lot of punishment. I see Tank dirty boxing and taking him down then brutally end it via GNP.

If this guy actually backed his skill, why is he not competing in K1 or MMA?
Surely Jeet Kune Do would have some usable tactics in MMA?
