Pavlik has been a letdown since Oct. 2008, but he's def no f'king stepping stone for JCC Jr. He will render this waste unconscious.

Idk. There's just something I see in Pavlik that he's just not the same fighter he used to be. I know styles make fights, but there was no drive in him, he didn't demonstrate anything vs. a guy many thought he would steamroll. I'll give Pavlik the benefit of the doubt, but if it does happen, Pavlik's on the decline while Jr.'s on the rise, Pavlik is gonna take a beating while he's administering one too. Then there's the problem with the cuts to add more to it. Jr has the youth and best trainer in the world whom without Roach most likely Jr. would of lost against Duddy and was a different fighter within a month, how will Jr be in Dec? I don't think Arum is a risk taker, and if he would make this fight happen it's because he obviously wants to take advantage of the downfall of Pavlik. I'd pick Pavlik over Jr, but just edging it.

They think Pavlik is shot but Chavez jr. beating him would make him a superstar? :patsch You gotta love Freddie Roach. Why doesn't Junior take on Martinez and see if he can be a superstar? Pavlik shoud go to 168, leave Arum, and get a real trainer.

Nobody objective expected Pavlik to steamroll Martinez.

Right now Kelly is a question mark. My gut feeling? He could have given up just making weight against Martinez but worked his ass off to get to the scale within the limit. He could have quit in the 9th or anytime there after, only the haters would have blamed him. This doesn't tell me Kelly has quit on himself yet. To come in fit at 160 will pretty much take him the rest of the summer to accomplish. HOWEVER, going down in weight and retaining what you had is not a gimmie. Look at Mundine. He is losing speed as he goes down, IMO. He has no pop. Kelly may well just be best off moving up at this point.

We have rumours. We don't have anything from Pavlik to confirm the rumours. Tying to stay at 160 is foolish in my opinion.

There is a chance that Pav was jacked up from weight lifting, so it wasn't natural growth. You can shed that kind of weight with time, and diet and training changes. However, the fact that he struggled to make weight since 2005 leads me to believe KP is done at middleweight and should move on. I'd love to be wrong, but . . . . . . :think

I would rather see JCC JR vs Vanes Martirosyan, who's corner would Roach be in??????? As far as the thread, Pavlik is too big and hits to hard for JR, from what I have seen of JR, he is a sitting duck for Pavlks right all night, is JR as nimble and unorthodox as Martinez, does he hit as hard as Martinez, does he have the defense? I think all will agree he does not, I don't believe this fight will happen for JR's sake and career.
