Not biased, but realistic list. Brock is probably a top five heavyweight right now, but calling him #1 or "baddest man on the planet" is just ridiculous, especially after his performance against Carwin. A fight, where a fighter covers like Brock did, not answering punches or doing anything to get out of a position like this for minutes, should be stopped. This fight wasn't, you can ask why... The fact that he won at the end cannot be attributed to the quality of Lesnar as a fighter, but to the inability of his opponent. It can be seen as a reminder of how bad the UFC heavyweight division actually is.

I don't rate Brock #1. My objection was to the saying that he's not even close. If you have him ranked in the top 5 and still don't think he is "even close" than we are really just disagreeing about what it means to be close, which is semantic and unimportant really.

Some might even argue that it makes the win even more impressive. I don't like Lesnar. After his antics when he beat Mir, I knew I could never cheer for such a vile SOB.
But I'm not going to dump on him for having a bad first round against Carwin. It's a shame that Shane didn't finish him, but I give Brock huge props for enduring that kind of beating and coming back to win.
    That was impressive.

I thought the same thing tbh but after his relatively gracious win over Carwin and seeing some behind the scenes video of him training with Randy I don't think he is such a ****.

In hindsight, I mean, Mir was RIDICULOUSLY disrespectful to Brock before the fight.

Brock is the P4P baddest man on the planet. The UFC monthly magazine I beat off to says so. And you can't argue with the printed word. I would scan the artile and post it up but the pages are stuck together.

  11. Carwin the so called biggest and most powerful puncher in MMA.

That was definately an arm punch, Carwin just doesnt have the technique for super powerful punches. Basically all top level boxers and most average level boxers would laught at Carwins arm punches.

Funny thing was Carwin started to look tired and gassed after that short open workout......lol (and he wasnt even doing much)

  12. The difference is that Fedor actually shows some proper skills against skilled and proven opponents. Although, Fedor's technique is unique due to his Sambo background.

Brock won that fight because Carwin gassed badly. Carwin basically beat himself.

Fedor and Overeem would dominate Lesnar.

You can say what you want about Brock getting hurt by Carwin in that fight but it won't change the fact that he is the number one heavyweight in the world, the UFC champion and in defeating Shane Carwin has beaten a fighter more dangerous than anyone Fedor has faced since 2005. I am now and always will be a Fedor fan and I don't think this is entirely his fault. He did try to fight josh Barnett - but the fight didn't happen and therefore his recent resume is sorely lacking.

The UFC heavyweight division isn't that strong dude. Nog is the most skilled of the bunch and he is 5-7 years out of his prime.
