Hatton is making a mistake if he thinks PBF will take him lightly

I think that if Hatton thinks that will spurr him on. He will want to shut Floyd the hell up imo.

Ricky is a wild type of fighter, his skills are decent but imo he's not a good boxer. He can't take body shots and we all seen him struggle with the better fighters.

Hatton is ****ed in this fight and it's time that his fans realize this. PBF is a stylistic nightmare for him period. His speed, movement, defense, stamina, ring generalship, accuracy and underrated toughness is all wrong for Hatton. Not to mention Hatton's short arms lack of a jab and ****-poor defense are another factor his fans won't address. PBF is the complete package he isn't a faded Zoo and he will find out why he's P4P #1 come Dec 8th.

yup. the reason ODLH caused problems early and JLC did throughout their first fight was due to pressure formed with a jab, hatton doesn't have a jab.

although i still dream of a double knockout.

Exactly! People don't understand how important a jab is against someone like PBF without one you're ****ed! Oscar did a good job with his early on until PBF took it away. Another example would be Castillo who had a good jab and was able to work his way inside with it, Hatton won't have that luxury becaue he doesn't have one. He will be picked apart while coming in by a jab or straight right hands in and countered when he lunges with his hooks. PBF will land on him like rain on a tin roof with Hatton's ****-poor defense. I won't even go into the angles PBF will show Hatton that will give him fits as well.

I'm not a fan of Floyd and I'm a big fan of Ricky, but Floyd will shine on December 8th.

excellent post. floyd by late stoppage. hatton is as tough as they come, but the continued punishment will eventually lead to his corner pulling him out.

if hatton did lead with a jab he could give floyd fits. but it's practically non existent when he goes charging in.

Yeah I could see a corner stoppage as well. Hatton would have a great chance if he had a jab to keep PBF in check but he doesn't. Not to mention Hatton's best punch his hook to the body will be damn near impossible for him to land on PBF in the middle of the ring it will also leave him open to counter-uppercuts all night long. Hatton's best chance in this fight is that one PBF breaks his hands early and two he gets the same hometown ref he had for the Zoo fight.

    Wrong.

His best two performances have been against the best two fighters on his record, so he hardly struggles with the better fighters.

He's not wild, his skills are honed now, he pressures excellently without leaving himself too open.

He can take body shots, you've only seen him get hurt by one in his career against Urango and now decided that's the norm.

He's definitely a good boxer, but I doubt much of that will be seen against Floyd, not the tactics he needs.

According to you,Hatton might as well throw in towel and cancel the fight.
