i'll be very surprised to see John fight any of the "newer gen" top elites. Hes nearing the end of his career, still no losses, and seems to be breaking down with injuries. A rematch with a fighter he had already defeated would be a safe close out.

well arum is saying john vs juanma in december and john's people are saying john vs gamboa next year.. either way both will be good fights

Yea both Juanma and Gamboa kick this guys ass. Juanma and Gamboa are the TOP 2 featherweights. There is no competition.

 

Its a great fight , a fight that should have been made already and we should be talking about it as if it where in the past tense , however , it has'nt yet , i like Gamboa early on , if John drags it out then id be going with John on a close decision , Chris John is a seasoned world champion , with excellent skills and tremendous output , i rank John and Gamboa the best in the division anyway (i havent seen anything of Elio Rojas) so i will be tuned right into this fight !!!!

 

I thought juanma was in line for john after his rafa fight (if he wins of course) yuri vs john would be an excellent measursing tool and the first fighter with a pulse that yuri has faced. What baffles me are this posts stating that a victory over john would catapult yuri's status over juanma??? How is that possible when he has yet to face anyone who poses a serious threat??

 

I respect Gamboa's talent,but in this one,if I were a betting man,my money would be on Chris' talent,experience and toughness.

hard to get excited about this when so far away....still have half of the baseball season to go, then the world series, the entire NFL season, playoffs then superbow. NBA will start back up and be in its 4th month .... just make the damn fight and put it on in oct

 

Wow first they said Juanma could fight John in December and now Gamboa could fight John on 2011. good to see people using John as a stepping stone.
