I am not saying Mosley would have definitely finished him. But he had an excellent opportunity and the ref, amazingly, stopped the fight at that exact moment. It was I believe the 9th round and Cotto had already been hurt from the cut in his mouth and he was retreating. Mosley was coming in for the kill and Cotto looked more vulnerable than at any other time in the fight previous or following. Right at that EXACT moment the ref STOPS the action, giving Cotto a much needed chance to gather himself and forcing Mosley to have to reset.
it was a stupid time to stop the action but i dont think cotto was anywhere near getting knocked out at that point
cute. but no. you have under 100 posts, thus you're a newbie. the only one on ESB bitching about the ref is you.
I am not the only one discussing it. It was mentioned in the round by round thread when it happened. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showpost.php?p=734307&postcount=544 I was likely reading threads in this place before you knew it existed. If all your posts are troll posts than they really don't add up to anything of signifance. You are contributing nothing. Now how about addressing the issue. I am saying that the refs actions stole a potential big opportunity for Mosley. You don't mean to tell me that Shane was not on the attack and Cotto was not hurt when the ref, bizarrely, stopped the action. It was BS.
you couldn't have missed it. Right in one of the most dramatic moments of the fight, the ref lets Cotto off the hook.
wow i think you posted on here more in the last 10 minutes than you have in the last 2 months. And yes you definatly have been reading the threads before i knew they existed because you've had so much to contribute yourself that you're on par for a little under a post a week. So if Mosely slipped and tore his ACL on the wet canvas b/c the ref didnt stop the action would there be more or less controversy? Sorry the ref is more qualified than you. Oh, and so is Emmanuel Steward who pointed out the 3 seconds had no bearing on a hurt fighter for if Cotto was truly hurt, that wasn't ample time to recover. And if you frequent this site, you'd know Spartan too is a more reliable source than yourself. Eat crow crybaby.
Who cares Shane took the 12th off which is what really counted in the end. Shane had enough chances but it was obvious that he just couldn't.
i know spartan fights, so any other fighters besides myself and spartan agree firsthand 3 seconds dont mean **** when your hurt?
