Declan Trainor v Jamie Bogavic on the Zappavigna undercard

Jamie is a great prospect. He was a standout in the Amateurs. Here's some footage of him in action @ the 2008 AABL National Titles.

We know he looks the goods but he looked 1 or 2 divisions heavier in both fights :huh

??? He was fighting at the amateur titles Ash. He would have weighed in on the day of each fight & Fighting guys the same weight. He is just heaps fitter than his opponents & has a different build...from what I've seen of him I think he is one to watch

 

Just spoke with Declan this morning.
He thanks all for the support & is really looking forward to making his pro debut against a credible opponent.

 

I saw Jamie do a bit with Daniel Amman and i would say that Jamie has improved a reasonable amount since then should be a good fight

 

Declan Trainor looked brilliant tonight.
Knocking Bogovic down in the 1st & then Bogovic had huge cuts over his eyebrow & bridge of the nose which is when the fight got stopped in the 1st.

Declan showed a nice kit of punches, with a European style not often seen on our shores.
Great start to Declan's pro career.:happy

 

He sure did look impressive. I think the cut over the eye was a minor one, even the Doc or the Ref commented on that. His nose was definitely broken though. Strange that a pro fight was stopped on a busted nose, but it was bleeding profusely and the better man won. Looking forward to seeing Declan box again... Tiocfaidh ar la!

 

Yep Bogovic's nose was shattered.
I have never seen that much blood in 2 & a half mins of a fight in a very long time.

Zappa won by 2nd rd KO via uppercut against Indo Billy Sumba.

Forsyth smashed Gasio to 1st rd KO

Xerras beat Van Nimwegen in close UD in the fight of the night over 8 rounds for NSW title.

Broadhurst won by KO rd 2 in pro debut.

Philip beat Buckley in shutout over 4
