Well what about Cotto now close fight I had Cotto winning but thats beside the point are you guys gonna say he is over hyped now or you going to admit the ****ing truth that he is world class and the real deal! well lets hear it......by the way I had Cotto winning 7 -5 I was pissed he ran the last couple of rounds like a *****. But after round 4 Mosely wanted no part of the Brutal exchanges and was on his bike then Cotto after round 8 did the same thing.
I totally agree with you. Cotto won!. They said cotto ran the later rounds, but what was shane doing in rounds 5-9, he was in survival mode. Something was clearly wrong with Cotto in the later rounds, he was doing the clottey, when clottey injured himself versus margarito. If cotto would of kept the same pace he had in the earlier rounds, he would of won in a larger margin.
Cotto is better than I thought, for sure. Even though he lost tonight -- with real judging -- he showed a TON of skills and heart.
Cotto dissapointed me with his mentality. His skills should surprise nobody, they have always, always been apparrent.
I was very dissapointed with the "De La Hoya" in the last 4 rounds. Not good, especially for a guy who is all about wearing you down.
I think you will see more people come to this conclusion as the weekend rolls on. I'm interested in media takes on this.
For some fighters running is obviously a good thing, it makes sense. But I agree 100% for Cotto, a "wearing down his opposition" type fight it was not the best fight-plan. He could have and should have impossed himself. What he did was riskier than risking being KO'd.
He showed great versitility in winning a boxing match towards the end of the fight countering like a true boxer.
I agree. But I believe he would have been wiser to go forward and not risk Mosley's empty flurries winning rounds.
Cotto appears to be the total package. He can box, he can punch, and his powers of recovery are enough to get him out of any jam. I was impressed with his jab tonight (he outjabbed Mosley) and as somebody mentioned in another thread, his handspeed was tremendous. Don't be surprised if he goes undefeated.
I heard that his body attack was the best and nobody could take it for so long. I didn't see that.....maybe I was ****ing drunk..
