    you are wrong. id say fenech is very comfortable with his place in history.......his record is easy to defend. he knows it.

    Sal I'm not disrespecting what Fenech achieved...........I was a huge fan of his in his prime but after the Vegas disaster he became a bitter twisted ***** who seems to knock any up n coming Oz fighter if he's not part of their show. As a fighter I know he earn't his place in the history books. I won't deny that but some of the **** he's pulled off outside the ropes........well the mans a ****en wanker if you ask me.

    Whatever the real reason for his comments he was proved 100% right Sally.

    Wonder if Fenech had a flutter on Green BECAUSE of the absolutely shot version of Briggs he trained with. You'd be mad not to - almost a case of legal insider trading.

    'Criminal' seemed harsh when Fenech made the comments. But after the way it played out last night he may well have chosen exactly the right word!

    Another nail in the Coffin for Australian boxing last night,both Mundine especially and Green recently should hang there heads in shame for there disgracefull way they have manipulated and tarnished this great sport,its an absolute disgrace.!!!

    JEFF Fenech, widely criticised for calling last night's Danny Green-Paul Briggs fight a mismatch, called on Green to give fight fans their money back after what was arguably the most disgraceful chapter in Australian boxing history.

    Boxing sank to its greatest low last night when Briggs lasted just 29 seconds of their much-hyped fight.

    It already carried a smell when betting agencies closed their books hours before the fight because of a deluge of money on Green to win by first-round knockout. While there is no suggestion Briggs took a dive, the fact is he fell from the first punch in the fight - a left jab that glanced the top of his head.

    Fenech came under attack from both Green and Briggs when he called the fight a mismatch and said it should be cancelled.

    Fenech has now been vindicated.

    "I said Briggs was never given enough time to get ready for the fight. The fight shouldn't have gone ahead.

    "But Green is the one that made the fight. He organised a fight with a guy who was the 'big warrior', well, tell him if he is as p ... ed off as he says, he is to give everyone their money back."

    The NSW Combat Sports Authority received widespread criticism when it refused earlier this month to licence the fight, forcing it it to be held in Perth.

    Green immediately promised legal action against the Authority.

    "Tell him good luck in his court case against the NSW Combat Authority, too," Fenech said.

    Question.. Who the **** handcuffed,drugged and then forced Briggsie to fight Greenie in the first place? Did he have any say in the matter? All this **** being plashed around makes you think he had no choice in the matter.

    Maybe,just maybe he knew what he was up against, but he made the choice to take the fight. Reading some of the **** on here and you would think the poor **** was ****ing dragged screaming into the ring.

    I can't agree with you more bud. The Green/Mundine boxing circus should **** right off. Lets get behind the likes of The Great Katsidis and Vic Darchinyan and the up and coming stars of the future. Green/Mundine/Fenech all doing more harm to boxing than good so FARK OFF!!!!!
