Freddie roach says guillermo rigondeaux would defeat izzy and rafael marquez

He knows they're shot. That said, I think Rigondeaux is very overrated and that his style doesn't translate well to the pros.

 

Both Izzy and Rafa are past prime, well Izzy is more than just past prime he's shot. So there is nothing absurd or wierd in that statement from Roach.

 

They should chase Gamboa or Caballero to try and make a name..
The guys they mentioned are already established living legends & either booked or possibly retired.

 

Roach has banged this drum before about Vasquez but the last time i heard him say these comments he didnt mention Marquez , well you have to wonder dont you , what ever Roach seems to say does actually ring true somewhere down the line , it would appear Marquez & Vasquez are past there best , who knows !!!!!

I think he'd definitely beat Izzy. Izzy's eyes are too ****ed up for him to be fighting anymore. Rigondeaux would just counter him and target those eyes until the ref stopped it.

Against Marquez, that would be an awesome fight between two master counter punchers. I can't call it though because I don't think we've seen enough of Rigondeaux to truly gauge if he is good enough to beat Marquez.

 

This guy looks good against limited opposition but let`s see him preform against the gate keepers of the division.
