guys i found it very hard to score some of the middle rounds for cotto.

i still have it 115 113 to mosley.

i did notice that the commentators were all for cotto from round 1. which would help in making people think cotto was winning.

guys try watching it with no sound

just woundering what the other guys over at HBO were saying.

I thought the commentators were giving even credit, though I think they were giving a bit more to Cotto as the "rising star" who was proving himself against the "old veteran" which may have been a factor it Cotto getting the decision.

Scored it 116-113, 7 rounds to 4 with 1 even, for Cotto.

115-114 for Cotto, if you want to be slightly generous to Mosley.

I'll agree that during the late middle rounds that Shane was pressuring Cotto more. But even when Shane was backing Cotto up, Cotto was still landing the harder cleaner punches. Its not HBO trying to help Cotto it looks like some people think just because a fighter lets his hands go, that he has won the round.

At first look I have Cotto winning (going to re-score it later) but I did notice the commentators were repeatedly giving praise to Cotto for taking a punch well when he got hit....he got ****ing hit guys, give some praise to Mosely for doing the hitting...

It's unfreak'n real to believe after all the sh?t people talk about Cotto they would not even give him the credit he deserves and just say he is a great young fighter. Now it's not going to be about the low blows or his glass chin, now it's going to be about what? His home town scoring, people flat out suck I have seen people say it was a robbery. What the hell fight did they watch? Honestly I am a huge Roy Jones Jr fan but also love to watch both Mosley and Cotto. It was a hell of a skillled fight with Cotto showing very new wrinkles in his game. He can actualy box realy well and speed should not even be talked about annymore with this kid he beat Shane to the punch all night. His resume is looking great no one has fought a greater level of opposition in terms of record then Cotto in the last 3 years. To those who felt it could have went either way just watch to the post fight interveiws of both Shane and Miguel. Listen to what Shane says he doesn't even put up a fight. He himself praised Cotto as the Young champ and said he is headed towards bigger and greater things. Where as though Mosley had may be one more fight in him. Congrats to both fighters hell of a display of skill on a great day for boxing. As fans lets make the Cotto vs Mayweather fight!!! Boxing needs this.

True, even in those rounds when Cotto was (for some reasons) backing up, he landed more and cleaner punches.

cotto won the fight and fought with beautifull hand speed and landing hard shots to the body big stiff fast jab .and moved relly well. it was his fight all night. and those that think Mosley won . they clearly have a agenda to desecrated cottos win..

How is it that at the end of the 5th round I think it was that Shane realized he should box more and started moving and that was ok.....and when cotto started to back up and box hes a runner? He was fighting shane while backing up and landing crisp counters. Anyone that is usually a come forward fighter that can switch it up to boxing and countering off of the back foot and landing those counters well against Shane Mosely of all people deserves some credit I think. Who the **** thinks he was running?
I was impressed with Cotto last night.

As for Shane... **** man he looked good as well , but just didnt do enough to take it. I hope he has the desire for a few more fights, it was great watching him perform so well after all this time. I give him a good chance to beat Cotto if theres a rematch and hes more than enough for just about anyone else in the division.

    Great fight.

I watched the last 5 rounds with no sound, and Mosley clearly won the last 4, including the 11th when Cotto tried to steal the round with the big left hook with about 15 seconds left.

Mosley was the aggressor for the last 4 rounds, and took the fight to Miguel with effective aggression. I was surprised and dissapointed to see Cotto on his bike for the final 4. Shane Mosley is a BADDDDDD man, even at age 36.

Ok then what was Shane doing after I think it was the 5th round and he decided to move and dance around and box more? Why are you calling it as Cotto being on his bike and not boxing like Shane ? Backing up and circling while keeping a significant punch output ( although alot less than when he was coming right at him of course ) and landing crisp counters?

Or is it that whenever a boxer backs up and moves its running/on his bike? Not being a dick, but curious as to the though process here. Did it appear more dramatic since it was Cotto , a known come ahead fighter? To me he changed up his game a bit and showed he can box well off the back foot. I think in the post fight interview he mentioned he was a bit tired. Props to him for being tired and realizing it and being able to box more and move and still land some telling shots while fighting in a style we arent used to seeing him in.
