Who was more past prime? Cotto's Mosley or PBF's ODLH

By the way Shane fought, I wouldn't say that he that far past prime. He wasn't as sharp as he once was, but certainly not shot. Anyone who makes Cotto retreat as much as Shane did still has plenty to offer.

Shane and DLH could show a bit fading but they still could fight, it's just that their age being highlighted by some. Wonder why these younger opponents like PBF and Cotto would apply some running game in fighting these two "aging" fighters, only means Oscar and Shane could still be dangerous in the ring.

Mosley I think, Shane's speed and power were not visible against Cotto. And to say DLH could have won against PBF, only without that hit and run gameplan of Floyd. Oscar performed the way he was and didn't show he's a shot against PBF. Mosley showed some signs between the two IMO.

 

I remember a prime Mosley and I remember a prime De La Hoya. That being said, the Mosley of last night was a far cry from a prime Sugar Shane, and he still gave a good account of himself.

I agree. This is the 12th round no less and shane is sharper, faster, stronger, more combos, more endurance, and better reflexes as he dodges Oscars punches to his head in close, against Cotto he didn't even bother to most of the time. Not saying he was way out of it, he was still good, but not this greatness but he showed a good account of himself in his age. But near prime I doubt it.

 

Yup. A prime Mosley would not hesitate to let his hands go because he still had the amazing reflexes to avoid the countershots of his opponents. The Mosley of last night seemed to pick his shots a lot more.

 

IMO both are about the same and aren't prime. Neither gave a bad account for themselves.
