I'd love for it to be on ESPN. We are talking about ESPN3.com....an INTERNET channel that isn't even available to everyone in the US...you have to use one of the listed internet service providers to even get access to it.

So this is worse than an Internet PPV. With an Internet PPV (which I don't mind myself), at least everyone has the ability to watch it, if they so choose. That's NOT the case with ESPN3.com.

A national TV station would be great...I just don't see it happening. I think in terms of exposure the options look like this (from best to worst).

    1. National TV Station
    2. Showtime or equivalent premium channel
    3. ESPN
    4. ESPN Classic
    5. PPV
    5 Internet PPV
    6. ESPN3.com
    7. No US Coverage

Why is he fighting Peter again? Its clear that Peter is shot to pieces. That fight shouldn't be on anything.

lol while you are there tell him to fight someone (anyone) else - and tell him he will need to take less money if he really wants to make the fights he NEEDS to have (if he wants a legacy that isn't a joke) happen (fights that people and TV companies will be interested in for example) and also tell him to take a risk for once and stop holding

otherwise his straight to internet career will continue down the pan

I'm not certain Peter is shot. He very well could be, however, he does seem to have rededicated himself and has lost almost 30lbs since the Chambers fight. In Peter's last fight, he was 5 1/2lbs LIGHTER than when he fought Wladimir.

    What the hell is ESPN3.com?

Where I live we have about 4 ESPN's
    ESPN
    ESN2
ESPN Classics (which has shown live fights in the past)
    ESPN News

So ESPN can't find a half hour to show a heavyweight championship fight? This is a sad state when High School Cheerlading, Poker, reruns of bowling from the 70's, and a constant loop of the same 30 minute news broadcast gets air time but a live championship fight can't get any.

I was thinking Versus or ESPN classic. Versus has put on some good boxing cards in the past couple years.

Yep, I've got ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Classic, & ESPN News. Like you said, high school cheerleading, high school football, poker, bowling, etc...

All of that, on a freakin loop, and they can't free up one of their channels to show the Heavyweight Championship of the World?? What the ???

The ironic thing is that this is more in line with the kind of fight HBO would probably have paid for.

Too late now. Oh, the fickle fates in boxing.
