More power to Paul. He played them at their own game. Green Promotions moved heaven and earth to stage this farce.

They got what they wanted. Or was Paul supposed to get his brain scrambled even more to make the punters happy and Green spruke that he is really a machine?

This isn't on Briggs. The WA Commission, the putrid IBO, Green and his cronies ALL played with fire.

And got their fingers burnt.

Members of the Bob Jones Corporation scattered in its ranks.

Making a nice little earner in always providing the ring for hire.

Giving kickboxing refs a boxing gig in the belief that 'both sports are pretty much the same, whats the difference?'

There are some good refs & judges there, beyond reproach, but recent movements raise some questions.

 

We could always copy a fellow judges scorecard....thats what a particular WA judge does best.

 

Wa,nsw, new jersey, wherever...they are all as bad as each other.

Mission statement reads SHOW MUST GO ON.

 

This is all speculation.

1. Briggs and his team knew he still had mental and physical issues going into the fight.
2. There was next to zero chance of him lasting more than a few rounds.
3. Rather than risking his life/health in the ring, Team Briggs decides to take a dive at the first available opportunity.
4. Someone forgot to STFU and word leaked out leading to the betting fiasco on R1 KO.

In short Briggs is the smart one here. No further risk to his health and get paid $250K for 29secs of work.

 

i still cant see all the blame falling on greeny while briggs new he wasnt ready physically or mentally for the fight. claims he did it only for the money that i can understand.and new he had no chance to even be competitive. briggs wasnt fighting because of peer group pressure or because danny forced him it was for a quick last payday at our expense so he must take the majority of blame in the fight being a joke

 

I'd put a far greater price on my career and future than $250k.

Well if that's the case a lot of people should get banned or suspended for a long time for criminal negligence (Briggs, Briggs' trainer, the promoter, the commission, neural scan doctor, maybe the IBO).

 

Well at least it has now exposed green, and his choice of opponents.

 

if green is such a straight shooter and as honest as he say's he is why not give all those poor idoit's that actually go and watch this crap there money back ????????

Whilst i won't deny that Danny has to shoulder some of the blame i can't understand how people are supporting what Brigg's did:huh
If its true about the statements made by Paul on radio then he really pulled a dogs act not just on boxing but the people who support the sport.
Also agree with Rod that it's strange that Billy H seams to have a gotten of scott free!
