The truth is out.....maybe

There was word weeks ago how ordinary Briggs was looking.

No one had the heart to pull him out thought as they feel Briggsy deserved the pay day given what he had been through in his career. taking on all comers , whilst others sidestepped , pick and choose , winning mickey-mouse titles and having ephiphanys.

$200,000...isnt that life changing though.

Also , suprised no one has mentioned the fact Briggs came back previously only to quit 2 weeks in coz he had problems physically again. it was about 18 months ago ,apparently he was tryna get Mundine.

Now in 2010 , he comes back...surely ppl knew about his previous attempt.

So it leads me to believe that his circumstances how now changed...maybe he needs the money now , I no he is now divorced...I just hope he doesn't go back to his old ways. I know alot of people have that fear

 

Seeing as Danny Green and Paul Briggs are such good mates surly Green WOULD HAVE KNOWN how shot his mate really was , never mind all the bull**** about Green thinking his mate was tip top and he would just shove a quater of a million in his bin to help out . ****ing bollocks ,Briggs dived and Green MUST have known he was in for an easy night .

I didn't place a great deal of blame on Green initially for this farce, but as the smelly facts roll out...

 

Geez, there's so many gray areas here, one would be pretty game to put a stamp on what really happened.

Like "No warm up fights". In light of previous experience (Sparring) could mean Green wanted him cold to improve Dans chances,,,or,,, If he was just doing it for a payday for him, he didn't want Paul risking his health nor want people to see how shot he was.

Or

Green had sunk so much into the whole sorry mess, he didn't want to know how Paul was doing in his prep.

I dunno. He's not the first fighter to get stopped by a suspect punch.

I guess there's several schools of thought on this. One is that they are glad to see a past warrior get a golden handshake (Ala Choc V Lester).
Those whose experience with Pauls dark side that believe he doesn't deserve it.
I think the fundamental one was the trade-off. That is,, what it done to boxing in general.

No matter how much well meaning people try & tart the game up, buy it a new dress, new shoes, the same old moll emerges when ever a new hoon turns up. :think

There is also people close to Green stating it's a FACT Paul approached Danny after the RJJ fight seeing the hype and $ signs that could be generated, and greens team stipulated they wanted to see 3 independant medical reports clearing him before any negotiations would happen.
