so i take it from ur reply u know all the reasons why Briggs took this fight? yeah i doubt it.. u sound like a green fan a bloke with very little brains. mybe Green should take an opponent that has fought recently. u all love to back mundine but plz look at greens last 3 opponents.
why are defending briggs or Green, they ****ed us over, the fan. Hurt this sport in oz more than anybody in last 20 years on wednesday night. what they did was a disgrace.
I like Green but Im not a nuthugger.....nor do i defend him save the RJJ fight Why not try to reply to the facts in my post instead of trying to insult my intellect or choice of fighters :deal ...try these... A) Did Briggs come in like a fat ****? B) Did Briggs get owned by a MW in sparring? C) Did Briggs have physicial and mental problems leading into the fight? D) Did Briggs go down from the softest punch in history? I know Briggs from 15 years ago when he was a KBoxer....I also know some interesting facts from behind the scenes that I wont mention. **** off with the insults and answer A to D :hi:
agree 100% but do we know why Briggs took the fight. was he in financial trouble or thought his body could defy the doctors. only 1 person knows. but if ppl thought it was going to be as bad as it was why did they still pay for the fight.
answer A to C is no idea im not Paul briggs. answer to D lets put u in there for a Green punch and see how u go. an im not trying to insult ur intellect just trying to defend a bloke that does not deserve all this dribble been said about him
this is what I have heard, he has no money bad investments his marriage is done he retired back in 2007 because on back out and problems with his balance and vision
Briggs may not have taken a dive but if he didnt he DEFINITELY was NOT right... Either way he was putting his career and legacy at risk wasnt he.... by coming in not right he was also putting his life at risk. Huricn I see where you are coming from mate. I feel for the guy. Something was wrong one way or another. Having said that whether he took a dive or wasnt right and went in risking his life is irrelevant it was a very very very bad decision. A **** up that will live with him forever.
You called me..."a bloke with very little brains" Briggs knew he was only ever a wide punchers chance. Going down off "A GLANCING JAB" is just wrong mate....cant you see that? When is the last time you saw a fighter going down off a glancing jab 30 seconds in round 1 in the last 200 years Oh and if you cant see Briggs was in bad shape with a fat gut (WAY fatter than mine...and Im not a fighter) you need some big ASS glasses :deal
I agree with you Ash, now im going outside for a cigarette to calm down :hat Everybodys pissed off 2nite! Think i'l go watch some Gatti v Ward later or Tyson v Ruddock to cheer up
I've boxed and I think it ****ing stinks. Briggs doesn't have a 'legacy' and should never have been in there in the first place. Would you like to argue otherwise? :deal
