Haye and Povetkin did the right thing

Also Haye shouldnt call people out if he isnt ready.

Haye should get more experience before fighting Wlad? How does one get mroe experience, by being inactive for what seems like eternity?

yeah...maybe if povetkin fights another 4 yeas, he will have 10 years in as a pro...and maybe 21 fights.... will that be good enough? maybe he should fight more often? thats the weakest excuse ever same as haye who called guys out. you bring up this excuses for these 2 heartless guys but they simply wont fight ANYONE....to gain this expierence you think they need.....leon spinks had 7 prof fights when he fought ali...13 months into his pro career.....ali had 50 fights......

My God, is this what heavyweight boxing has come down to?

Fighters were scared of Tyson back in the 80s but at least they got in the ring with him. Now they don't even show up in the ring with the Klits, this was unheard of in the 70s or 80s. The contenders back then at least TRIED, they knew the odds were stacked against them going in against Foreman or Norton but they tried, they knew there's always the chance to get a lucky shot in and suddenly become the heavyweight champion of the world.

Look at these pathetic clowns in Povetkin, Haye and Valuev. Do they seem hungry in becoming the universally recognized heavyweight champ of the world? Nope. All you hear from them is whining and complaining. Their excuses sound like those of some unemployed bum who is too lazy to go find work and finds all kinds of excuses why nobody would hire him.

 

apparently these guys get paid too much to fight nobodies..if they were broke they would be fighting..... and yeah, people back in the day wanted a shot at the title and would do anything to get it....they would beg and beg. now you got mandatories who dont want to fight the champion....its pathetic

 

A loss, back in the 70's and 80's, was not as detrimental to a career as it is today Nowadays you lose, and they write you off. Yet, still I agree with you completely on this matter. These heavyweight fighters need to man up and fight each other.

 

First off let me make it clear (and I have in previous post) that I don't think Haye is ducking Wlad or Vitali. Povetkin agreed to the terms and backed out could have been injury not ready whatever but how can anyone say Valuev is ducking.

yeah...no way haye is ducking anyone....the way he called them out for 2 years, signing to fight, then pulling out, agreeing to fight vitali, then running to fight valeuv, then fighting ruiz and using his "hes a mandatory excuse" then making wlad wait for months after the ruiz fight , holding up their career and uses the worst ****ing excuse in the book on why the fight isnt happening after wlad agreed to every demand he had...... but if you want to drink a beer and say its water...then you cant be helped
