Concepcion could have continued

He got up staggered getting up and they stopped it. He was ready to go way before ten though and seemed upset at the stoppage. Plus he seemed to be shoved down although he was obviously hurt.

Not the worst stoppage in the world but I thought he could have gone on.

I can understand the stoppage but it was near the end of the round anyways. He was hurt in the first round badly and came back with a huge punch of his own. Whose to say the same thing wouldn't have happened as JuanMa came in for the kill?

We don't know we won't ever know.

 

Maybe JuanMa comes in for the kill and gets nailed again? We don't know. Maybe Concepcion survives the round and recovers from being stunned.

Of course, maybe Concepcion gets hammered something awful but the ref is there and if BC got smashed again he can always jump in.

Has BC given any interviews since the fight?

 

what do you mean played out though? it may have played out again the same way it did at the end of round 1.

I'm not a sadist and its not the worst stoppage Bernabe was getting knocked around but I would have preferred the ref watching closely ready to jump in as the action continued. We know Bernabe would have been vulnerable but slinging massive shots as a himself vulnerable JuanMa came in for the kill.

 

he fell at 4 or 5 seconds in but he was shoving the ref off of him and clearly frustrated. A frustration that I saw as him wanting to continue. No, he didn't complain but that doesn't mean he liked it. I'd be interested in what Bernabe will say when he pops up in an interview.
