    Junior middleweight contender Ishe Smith reached out to BoxScene to throw down a challenge to Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Top Rank was trying to match Chavez Jr. against 154-pounder Pawel Wolak on September 11 in Mexico. As previously reported on the Scene, the fight fell through over a monetary dispute. Wolak's side had request $90,000, while Top Rank was not willing to go above a $75,000 purse. Ishe Smith handed Wolak the only loss of his pro career.:deal

    Tough fight for Chavez,Smith could spring an upset.He gave guerrero a very tough fight and i think chavez isnt as talented as fernando so theres a chance for a win for Ishe.

    Ishe can't win on the cards and I doubt he could knock Chavez out. Probably just looking for the payday.

    Ishe Smith will win a close fight, but lose big on the cards. That's pretty much his MO.

    He's very Glen Johnson-ish when it comes to decisions.
