http://www.thechronicle.com.au/story/2010/07/24/boxing-classy-Michael-katsidis-the-real-deal/ well said.
Like always Team Kat knows just what to say and is right yet again....YES I AM BIASED i know that but least I can say that I am.
hope Kats does great things. one things for sure, i will be behind him all the way. always willing to take the big fights.
Katsidis is great indeed. It always makes me wonder if there's something funky in the water down there that makes Green seemingly as popular as Katsidis... (or even more in some circles! atsch) Maybe the water swirling backwards down the toilet has something to do with it. :conf Anyway, regardless of the outcome in the Marquez-Diaz rematch, the winner or the loser would make for a hell of a battle with Michael.
Real boxing fans love Kats mate...its just the media dont get behind boxing all that much unless its crossed with footy atsch So the casual fan wont know how good Kats is and how hard he goes....lets hope that changes IMO promoters need to produce better press kits for the fights....give the sports writers some background and some questions to ask...**** it write the story for them
Is Green a former soccer man? Is that why he got such a late start? As for Katsidis - do you think it's possible he gets more love from the American and British press than at home? That's disgusting, if so.
No Green is a boxer....but he was small news until he made a living out of calling out choc :yep Kats could well be P4P bigger in the UK than AUST
The reason why Katsidis is liked in the Uk is that he actually comes and does what a Pro boxer is supposed to do ,Ie he Comes to fight ,He ain't a champion yet and possibly won't be if Amir Khan gets hold of him first but he is admired because he will have a go (something lacking in fighters from the Southern Hemisphere in recent times ) .
he gets a bit of attention up here, and thats where the incident happened. But he hasn't fought here in a long time, and when he comes back for a fight it probably won't be in Qld.
