In a recent article in Boxing News by Benjamin James he stated: This hype train has been steaming through the boxing world for such a long time now and we keep getting our hopes up that the fight will be soon then they pull the rug out from under our feet. Now they are talking about putting together the fight we all want to see in 2011. So it means we have another 12 months of speculation, bickering, annoying blog posts and thousands of idiots arguing on the internet about who caused what and who would knock who out. Its all pointless!!!! This is suppose to be a sport, a sport where two grown men lace up their gloves, get into the ring and fight! Just fight! That is all we want them to do. We dont want to see Floyd Mayweather dancing with the stars, or Manny Pacquiao singing karaoke live on tv. All we want is to see them fight. I dont care who gets what share of the purse, I dont care where the fight happens. I dont care about blood tests, I am sick of having to read about this fight. The promoters have done a brilliant job in hyping it up, and I think if the two men agreed to fight at the end of the year they would create the biggest selling pay per view of all time, but if they carry on over hyping the event then people like me will start to lose interest. I am starting to lose interest. I am sick of been treated like a fool by promoters. It is my belief that boxing needs one single global governing body for championship level fights. One title per division, one champion. Fighters should be made to fight if they want to keep their rankings and prove they are the best. I am sick of the politics involved in this business. Only Mayweather. Pac wants the fight, mayweather making his vacation, uncle, donkey, rainbow as excuse. Arum is dodgy though. One thing is obvious, Pacquiao badly wants to fight FMJ - sadly it takes two to tanggo.
Like I said before, the negotiation of fights has become a ****ing soap opera and we need to stop giving a **** until fights are actually signed. We should protest all this drama and find a way of telling the promoters exactly what we think of them. Easier said than done I know.
No Bob Arum did, simply put Arum made it sound like Floyd is holding this show up but really there were no "negotiations".
they are making the sport look bad that's the worst part, people are getting sick of all this drama, I remember the old days when the best fighters would fight the best fighters and it was as simple as that.
I really hope these two guys do end up fighting, its a huge fight between the two best fighters in the world. But, to me atleast, the fight is losing its steam. The more these two keep finding reasons not to fight each other the less I am interested in the fight. There are a lot of other good fights being made or could be made that I'd rather think about.
They're making fools out of themselves. They're the ones destroying the credibility of boxing, not us.
To be honest I'm fed up with this ****. We should hijack all threads related to these two. I mean all threads that talk about who's at fault or who is better or "inside sources" **** should be killed.
mayweather was willing to fight if pac did drug testing.. i dont see whats so hard to understand about that. its pac and roachs fault for trying to act like the boss when they arent
yeah but its the first fight floyd pushed that in and now pac has agreed to it floyd wants no part of it...floyd has always beaten his own chest but who hears a whimper out of him now?
