Don't you think Rafa's best chance is not to go into a war? The thing with Juanma, as much as I love the dude, is he starts to look regular when the rounds start adding up and he didn't ko early. Rafa should keep his distance, outboxing at first, and only mix it up down the stretch. Juanma has Tito-like power but he starts to unravel.

 

The thing with Rafa is that once he gets tagged, that warrior spirit is gonna come alive and he's gonna start trading, and thats gonna favor the younger, fresher, and stronger Lopez...But you're right about Rafa needing to keep his distance at first...the further the rounds go, the more it can favor Rafa.

 

Even now, Marquez can still outbox Lopez. If it doesnt turn into a war, Marquez wins easily.

This is a good test for Juanma though I am very concerned for him on this one....I still give him the edge simply because marquez is battle worn.

 

Rafa was good but not no more, Juanma will KO or TKO Rafa.

on paper juanma should take this, but the experience is with rafa. juanma has great stamina, but he doesnt have the skills and timing even an old warhorse like rafa has. if juanma tries to do that volume punching deal where he leaves himself wide open, rafa will have target practice. juanma looked stronger to me at 122, and rafa actually looks strong at 126. this is easily the biggest fight for lopez. i'd probably pick lopez to win, but marquez is one or 2 levels higher than any of lopez's opponents. i'm sure this will be a classic
