It sounds as if Valuev and King were creating more excuses as the negotiations progressed, and things sound rather bleak for Valuev Vitali.................But here's hoping Valuev comes to his senses, when he realizes this is a great opportunity, as well as his biggest payday yet. But if not, it sounds as if it will then end up being Briggs. Not bad. I'll certianly watch it, as not only will it be interseting to see how Vitali endures the powershots from Briggs early in the fight, but also if Briggs can endure the kind of heavy handed shellacking Vitali will put on him, and if Briggs can still stay on his feet.
:good Vit will easily **** and pillage Shannon "I have asthma" Briggs. But at least Briggs has great power and it will be almost enteresting for 2-3 rounds I bet. Wlad will probably ko Peter late, like he almost did in the first fight.
Briggs has a puncher's chance but his skillset compared to Vitali is vastly inferior. Good matchup though, should be interesting. Briggs will fight with fear and that could make him more dangerous.
I like Briggs, but one have to admit he was more than lucky during his whole career. First the way he "won" lineal championship... than getting a titleshot based purely on being a champion very long time ago and winning with lucky punch, otherwise losing every round to one of the weakest titleholders in already weak era, only to lose the tile in first defence... and now it seems he'll get another titleshot. I guess it is because he is two time champion and fought his share of bums. Although he has the tools to do much better than Sosnowski, IMHO he is even less deserving than him. For a moment I though it could be interesting if he gets lucky one more time - but, on the second thought I realized it would mean a "rematch" with Wlad, and Wlad's fights are anything but interesting.
