Was Karmazin D12 Sylvester a fair call? I missed it.

As I recall Karmazin won, however it was close enough to be a draw, especially by German "standards".

What made this decision stink of urine was not the outcome itself, which was decent, but circumstances around it. It took really long time and also there was a brawl and a lot of chaos ringside. The rumour I heard at the time was that someone from Karmazin's people tried to take a photo of scorecards because they felt the cards are getting fixed.

I don't agree Bodhi. If you have one fighter not doing anything and the other fighter being aggresive then yes I give the rounf to the agressor, regardless if his punches cause real problems for the rival. You can't give round for just keeping a nice guard and blocking.

Also if I recall correctly the judges had some really stupid scores. one who gave it a draw was ok, but the other two were like wins by 10 rounds for karma and sylv respectively. Makes judges scoring in boxing look like a joke.

Karmazin well deserved the win, Sylvester did nothing for the first half of the fight. A robbery which I saw coming a mile off.

This fight was heartbreaking to me.... that was probably karmazins last big effort and they take it away from him like that, i really dont see how someone could watch that fight without bias and not think Karmazin won that fairly.... i get the whole effective/non effective aggression argument, and the clean effective punching, but if you want to really understand the fight id go and just watch it for yourself and make up your own mind, i might rewatch it myself.... maybe i got too cought up in the moment as i expected Karmazin to lose.... and sometimes expectations of what you think should be happening effect how your viewing things. But as of where i stand right now, Karmazin should have gotten a decision victory that night.
