Does he deserve a second chance?

It is supposed to be a life sentence like what most in ESB here are saying. So probably no.

Part of the process of redemption is admitting the guilt. There isn't a boxer alive that will side with him claiming ignorance about not knowing what was being wrapped into his hand.

Margo has to admit he knew.

He can redeem himself from the beating he suffered from mosley BUT not from the cheating that he had done.

He doesn't need to redeem himself, if he can continue to win big fights people will watch him fight regardless. If he does beat Pac, he should rematch Mosley.

I can't see him beating Pac. It's such a huge speed mismatch.

he deserves to be jailed for aggreviated assault, just like others that has done what he has done...

this is coming from a former fan of his.. he should at the very least admit to knowing, because your hands freeze in a certain position after the cement hardens so he knew, of course, and he wants to play around with people's lives.. he almost beat someones ear off and changed cottos career forever... again he deserves to be jailed and lifetime ban.. the only fight we know he didnt use cement, he got destroyed by mosely and now he is being rewarded for an aggrivated assault as well as an assault on the integrity of boxing by the greedy peace of sh!t arum by giving him millions... well i guess a steriod filled pac and cement laced margo would be an even fight... as for pac no one and i mean no athlete ever in history goes from 125 in his mid 20s (after already training his whole life to be strong) and builds almost 25% of his wieght in muscle and starts destroying people at 150... anyone that doubts me regardless of ur 200 lbs, try to put on 25 lbs of muscle while not losing any speed... its fuking impossible another way to tell is ur face swells, look at pics of him 5 years ago he doesnt even look like the same person...

again i was a fan im not a hater

Can he redeem himself? Maybe. Will he be able to lose the cheater label? Never.

Has there been actual testing done on those pads to see if it does inflict the damage people are claiming it can do?

I do not believe Antonio Margarito deserves a 2nd chance. In order to discourage other fighters from doing what he did, he should be banned for life. Additionally, Margarito has never taken responsibility for his actions. He continues to claim he was unaware his hand wraps had been doctored. How could that be? Was he napping when they slathered the gauze on his hands with Plaster of Paris? To me, what he did was criminal - criminal assault - and he should have gotten jail time. How does he redeem himself? By winning a big fight or a rematch with Cotto? I don't buy it. His actions risked Cotto's life. Think about Cotto's family and how they must feel about it. The heck with Margarito. He has disgraced himself and should be banned from boxing. Redemption doesn't begin until he admits his part.

It wasn't "pads," it was plaster. Trust me, plaster hurts when robustly applied to the face.

Even if the label sticks, nothing breeds redemption like winning. Even though whether he wins or loses really shouldn't make a difference in something like that, it's going to for alot of people anyways.

I can only imagine what'd happen if Margo legitimately pulls the upset, especially considering that a good number of people ordering the PPV will be doing it for the sole reason of watching him get his ass kicked.
