Why doesn't Juan Diaz fight at 130 or 126?

I honestly never thought a 135lb human could have mantits, but he's managed to pull it off. Why doesn't this chubby little **** hit the treadmill and fight in a weight class where his power and aggressive style would be more effective?

I also can't help but think this kid's career has been the most poorly managed in recent memory and really brings into question the business acumen of whomever is responsible. After losing to Nate Campbell, they put him in with Katsidis which could've ended very badly for him. He managed to pull off a win there, then they put him in with JMM who beats the **** out of him. Then they move him up in weight to fight Malignaggay when he's already clearly a bucket of lard at 135 and buy him a decision in Texas, then get him a rematch in a neutral site where he gets schooled badly and now he's back in with Marquez to get KOed again?

He's 26 years old and it appears they're putting him out to pasture already. Are they just sacrificing him because he's a repulsive tub of gooey **** who refuses to get into shape?

    I agree.

It weren't that long ago when he was regarded as the hottest young property in boxing. GBP have done a poor job with him.

His best days are well behind him in my opinion, and this fight against JMM will show why

Agreed. He's a little fatty and seems to think it's cool. He actually kind of bragged about it in a recent interview, saying "I'm not one of those fighters with muscles" or something along those lines. Well no **** Juan, you also have no power. Coincidence?

It seems like it would be impossible to train for combat and law school at the same time. It is a great story and all, but pick one and drop the other. War Marquez!!

There is no such thing as a part time boxer. Boxing involves serious dedication and devotion. Diaz doesnt have it.

He is not the same person, watch the fight with Marquez the first one, look at the way he comes out swinging the way he puts his punches, the way he threw haymaker he definietly earning baby bull the way he fought marquez unfortunately he lost, then watch the latest fight with Paulie, no haymakers, he didn't ever put punches out with power he boxed the whole night, he never once threw the power punches like he did with marquez... the Marquez fight took a lot away from him... It was his first time hitting the ground like that and getting totally owned.

Anyone agree he is not the same hungry young bull that fought Marquez the first time?

    Very true^
Unfortunately if he shows up trying to box with JMM then he will get embarrased for 12 rounds. He will probably last the distance but his best chance to win is to pressure pressure pressure.
Even then the result will probably be a late TKO for JMM.

As said in the first fight. "At the end of the day JMM is just the better fighter"
