"We did whatever we could to see that the fight was going to be in Las Vegas," Top Rank chairman Bob Arum said. "However, the Nevada commission has other views and we decided we can't engage in trying to change their views." Margarito has been granted a special hearing before the California State Athletic Commission Aug. 18. California intially suspended Margarito foor one year and revoked his license following a dressing room incident in Los Angeles prior to his Jan. 24, 2009, fight with Shane Mosley This content is protected where hard inserts were found inside the hand wraps of the former world welterweight champion. texas is smart a lot of mexicans will show up, still cant believe pacquiao is such a puppet willing to face a modern day luis resto
he isnt some youngster climbing the ranks, he is a superstar of boxing he can have a say in who he fights, margarito doesn't deserve this fight. He is just being a slave filling Arums pockets.
Margarito's not the most deserving of this fight, and Pacquiao really should have picked someone else. But hey, despite him being a cheating *****, he will at least making it a great fight. Anything's better than going in to retirement for a year.
I know that, i just really dislike bob arums way of making fights, that is why it sucks that pacquaio doesn't look after his own interest first. But atleast he is a active fighter and is awesome to watch. I hpe he gives margarito a good beating.
I still hope this fight is in Mexico. As much as I dislike the match up, I'd still like to see Pac in action live at least once before retires.
Deserving? Probably not. But he fights and that is all a fight fan should ask! Fans should not dwell on purse splits, and the drama outside the ring. May it be in Dubai or Mexico, it6 would surely be worth watching as compared to the Mosley or JMM vs. Mayweather.
Pac has no ****in choice....but to fight who ever the **** Bob wants him to. He is Bobs' *****....Bob is his pimp.
Let's see..... if the CSAC gives AM a license to fight, then the NSAC will follow suit. If that's the case, can't they still fight in the MGM?
Boxing is a money game. This fight will happen when they think about the asian high rollers that will show when Pax fights.
No doubt the fight will happen. If the venue is in Mexico, you can forget about the Asian high rollers.
