I get a kick outta Byrd having uncontrollable slobber running outta his mouth as he's trying to convince the ref he fell, or that he's alright..............LOL

Byrd got knocked out, I think he had a pretty solid career after this fight though. Ike was solid but he is so overrated on this forum, he was definitely hittable, just average speed, and he could get winded.

Lewis a footnote? Pretty big friggin' footnote, even if he in this hypothetical situation gets beaned by Ibeabuchi in 2000.

People that talk about Ibeabuchi in near god-like glowing terms tend not to be people that have actually watched him fight, or anything more than his fights vs Tua and Byrd.

'God Ike' should not need 9 rounds to dispose of trialhorse Everton Davies. 'God Ike' should not have the unconvincing effort he had against Marion Wilson.

Stricly speaking career-wise, Ike not fighting on was the best thing that could've happened to him; it stopped him being exposed by the best guys. With his shorter range, I think guys like Lewis and Vitali would've been particularly bad matches for him.

    agree 100%

take andrew golota...who was a beast after the first 2 bowe fights....
say he went to jail like ike.....golota would be a legend just like ike is. Ike could have very well went out and got blasted out in 1 round like lewis did to golota....but since he went out on a high note with his demolition of Byrd...he is forever given god like status by the fantasy land board warriors....the same ones who think if he got out of jail tomorrow he would ko the brothers and win a title

Actually if not for the sight crashes at ESB I would have I would guess between 50 to 60 thousand posts. Hell been on here nearly 10 years. I have watched more than 9000 fights I would guess in my life time. Going to one tonight but I will be one of the judges for this card.
