No. Gevor lost twice on cuts which came due to accidental headbutts against Konecny. the tko ruling in their second fight was a robbery Gevor was wide ahead at that time.
What? AA is a defensively responsible calculating boxer puncher. Anyone who thinks that man isn't a threat is insane. I am a huge Dirrell fan, but AA put him down twice in that fight and he was fading fast. He better thank the sweet lord AA messed up and threw that shot and that SRL didn't ask for 13 round fights. He may not have lasted.
I did say fair enough, I was giving some background on the fighters being shown. You could well be right that AA was a bit drained at MW, seeing there has been a few occasions with him
:deal This. Sadly too many on the general think Abraham is just another over-hyped Euro fighter, they even say the same about Kessler.
I was just joking around, but Boxed Ears is basically right. Punching power becomes a very relative quantity in different fights. sometimes in some fights a puncher will get a greater chance to demonstrate his power. Sometimes the condition of the "punchee" will vary greatly from fight to fight. What we can say is that AA hits pretty hard. He has a good KO pct and drops a lot of fighters. Overrated and rated is relative, but you certainly don't wanna get caught flush with too many of his shots, or you're gonna be in trouble. When he gets people to the ropes and lets his hands go, starts battering people, it's kind of scary actually, i'm surprised that dirrell weathered through some of those moments. If he was more active, or better at countering single shots, he'd be a ****ing monster.
Id purposely not mentioned the Dirrell fight because the punch that KOd Dirrell wasnt legal, regardless of whether Dirrell faked it or not
dirrell didn't fake it anyway, his legs were jiggling after the punch and he clearly had no idea what the **** was going on in that post fight interview. definitely concussed.
Just to say. I definately think Abraham can punch, but have wondered if it was a bit overated, prompting the start of this thread. No fighter in his weight class would want to be taking clean shots with their hands down from him, but dont know if he can punch like some of the other past big punching SMWs
Im sure Froch will catch some hard flush punches, he often does, his defence is poor, but I have a feeling Froch could be too much for Abraham
I wouldn't be surprised by either man winning by knockout in this one. I favor AA slightly but if it goes to the cards (by some freak accident), I imagine Froch wins it. Arthur is arguably too conservative for his own good.
