About 80%-90% of the posts in this thread are from people who know **** about boxing either. It's very frustrating to read through this ****. I feel like slapping people.

Anyway, to you particular 80%-90% of whoever the **** reads this very post, likely apply, and you know who you are, so try shutting your mouths and open those wax filled ears in order to actually learn something solid about boxing instead of being annoying, juvenile couch potatoes who haven't a clue what it's like to step into a ring but have no shame in making brash comments and arguing made up bull**** claims that come from no basis, unless perhaps Fight Night on X-Box or some ****** ass momma's boy **** like that. You SHOULD be listening and taking notes, not talking your juvenile **** to make a point about boxing that has nothing with the juvenile, ignorant, and sometimes even racist **** that you ***s talk.

 

Stop and think about recent middleweight chins. Hopkins, Abraham, Pavlik, et. The shot that took Jacobs out would not buy a ****ing blink from AA or KP. Hopkins would never get hit with that shot, but if he did, it sure as hell would not put him out.

I don't think American's get that type of humour, Gaz. Which is why they love shows like Friends, which tell them when to laugh. Maybe if you had added 18 smilies and "I'M ONLY KIDDING, DUDES!!!" he would have got you.

Anyway, Jacobs' bigger issue is a lack of heart.

If there really is a level of fighter termed Overhyped Eurobum then i dont see why Jacobs isnt classed as an Overhyped Ameribum. So many times im told how euros cherrypick there way to titles and would lose to the first decent boxer they met, well isnt that what happened here?

I would'nt question Jacobs heart here IMO, bit too early for that as i just think that he ran into a very good all round fighter thats more than a couple of levels up on him at the moment.

That is not a fair comparison for Jacobs, each one of those fighters have exceptional chins apart from maybe Pavlik who's chin is very good in its own right. The punch that landed was heavy and would KO a lot of middleweights.

In your other posts you have some good points but I cannot agree with this. Of course Jacobs was hyped. And hype is not an American thing but something that all regions and networks do with their fighters. Look at how the British media talks about Haye for example or how the German commentators lauded Sturm whenever he landed something on Gevor... Here in Sweden former WBO champ Armand Kranjc is known as world champion even if he was nothing else that a paper titlist/contender type of fighter who was badly schooled by Sven Ottke.

To People living outside the United States, it's very obvious sometimes what HBO tries to do with some fighters just like I'm sure some Americans/Russians/British react to the way German networks portrait their fighters.

But then again, I forgot that Dwyer also has this anti black American thing... Not to mention all the American posters who wrote the same things. They must hate themselves. Silly me...

Not everything is related to agendas and biases (even though a lot is on this site). He was hyped, simple as. And for heavens sake, the thread starter joked!

And btw, if AA or Pavlik would have walked into that shot without seeing, they would at least definitely feel it and be somewhat hurt. Hopkins and Pavlik would go down but get up. AA would be hurt but cover up. That's no slight on Jacobs because all these guys have excellent chins.
