His record is pretty dang good.....he seems to be a pretty personable person, plus there doesn't seem to be much not to like about the guy....but in the end, his promotors have done a great job with this kid.

He can always be proud of retiring Freitas, beating Katsidis, and giving good accounts of himself in the losses to Campbell and Marquez (not to mention the string of good C and B level wins that comprised most of his WBA title defenses except for Freitas).

he is a good fighter but like malignagi, he is just for entertainment.

margarito plastered his hands but obviously he can't do it forever.

He's good, but MArquez is the elite category. He makes good fighters look ordinary.Great counter puncher! Diaz has those annoying sound effects when he's punching. But Marquez
the silent assassin is a level or two above Diaz.Different class altogether.

Always thought he was a B level fighter at best even before his first loss. I think he can still comeback and still be a better fighter than he was however.

A hype job doesnt unify a division and give a P4Per two competitive fights, Diaz is a little bit past it now, i believe he should at least try and move down to super featherweight or just quit boxing altogether, hes clearly got his boxing afterlife sorted out so maybe his heart is no longer in it.:good

this is whats wrong with these noob boxing fans. Either a guy is an all time great or a total hype job. there's no in between.

He has lost to elite boxers and always looked good even when he was training and studying at the same time. Yes, there are better boxers than him. But he is a very respectable fighter and so far have had a great career. Not being #1 doesn't mean he is a hyped job. Even last night he lost but he did fought a great fight.
I always wonder what would happen if Diaz decided to go down o 130lbs. I think he can make 130lbs if he really wanted to. But I guess the money was at 135. I guess I will never know.
