I haven't seen a middleweight with that much skill since Hopkins. Pirog reminds me very very much of Carlos Monzon. Tall, lanky, real smooth operator that would take his time, punish his opponents, and then BLAM!!! He knocks them out as if to say he could of knocked them out since the first round. Good defense, waist movement, high guard, uses angles, throws combinations, has power, this kid has the makings of a future legend. Definitely made a fan out of me. Pirog was fighting like a seasoned vet while making the slicker, faster Jacobs look like an amateur. Kelly doesn't stand a chance, not even a prime Kelly.

Honestly you must admit Kelly is tough mudafuka too.. Pirog might make Kelly look like a fool with his movement,I give you that.

 

Pirog was no typical russian fighter..he has the power, good speed and head movement.

I missed the whole card. Gutted. How did his overall speed match up to Jacobs'? I always got the impression that he was a little bit slow.

 

are you kidding me, pirog shouldnt be mentioned in the same breath as hopkins and monzon, he looks like a decent fighter but he aint no future legend thats a bit excessive especially how dj was hitting him easy and he didnt even step into his punches but were arm punches which significantly stopped jacobs from throwing better, although he may not have won anyway. im not even sure he would beat kelly
