I'm a non american. I had Jacobs winning rounds 1, 3, and 4. Pirog won round 2. I thought Jacobs was adjustng pretty well to Pirog's style by keeping on his toes and boxing behind a jab and turning southpaw from time to time. But he got backed against the ropes and caught with a beautiful shot. Full credit to Pirog.

Definately, Jacobs could win a rematch.

Same way two teams in any sport can face off twice with one team winning the first and the other winning the second. Boxing is no different. These things can happen even after a decisive loss.

This is more of a case of Pirog being very good. Jacobs will bounce back from this.

(shakes head) it's strange how fans want the prospects of this sport to step up and challenge themselves against good fighters. But if they suffer a loss they are instantly the product of a 'hype job' or they have a 'glass jaw'. They get written off by fans and then we wonder why the next young prospect doesn't want to challenge himself and possibly lose.

Jacobs is a good fighter, I don't think he's great, but he's definitely good, Pirog is better at the moment. But I'm glad they fought to figure it out.

He's jumping on the Russian bandwagon because he's butt-hurt over England's lack of talent.:deal

Exactly, dude. Hatton couldn't deal with Floyd, and Khan is an ass-kicking waiting to happen when he steps in with Alexander.

I suppose, however, that if you have no native English talent, you'd feel compelled to draft off real Euro talent.

im a bit worried about jacobs character you know who he really looked like alan green if hes the one getting bullied he wants nothing of the fight and for alot of fighters its hard to sort out that mental factor
also ricky being exposed by the 2 pound for pound fighters int he world....hell i wouldnt mind bein exposed at that level

When my friend saw that skinny white guy in with that black guy, he tought for sure the white guy would be pounded. Then I told him, the guy is from russian, he change his toon. I have to say russian fighters gets more respect since Jirov, and the klitschkos.
