****, I missed the fight. Was Pirog that good or was Jacobs that bad? Can Pirog stand in there with guys like Sergio or PW? I've seen this before. Many jump on the band wagon and then he gets stopped in his next fight and all you will here is that he got lucky with Jacobs. Is this the case or is it just to early to detect? Just curious.
:yep How can you not like Ronnie Shields. He's not a cheerleader....he comes with specific and technical advice.
He was awesome, like a white mayweather when floyd rocked the shoulder roll all fight long. Want to find out how badass he is, cross your arms philly shell then try to move like he did and throw punches for all angles. He was the biggest surprise of the evening for sure. Can't wait to see him and Martinez get it on, that is a pick em in my opinion:bbb
Jacobs didnt have the legs to follow the advice given him between rounds. He was OK in the middle of the ring.....but couldn't hold his ground....he kept backing STRAIGHT into the ropes...where he got timed with straight rights.
Look he's sharp enough to avoid punches while dishing out his own, he offers up a unique style and seems to have good handspeed. I think he easily defeats Pavlik but he'll have a hell of a battle against Martinez.
I was impressed by his head movement, reminded me for some reason of a sedated version of a prime Emanuel Augustus.
I'd seen Jacobs fight quite a lot and liked him but suspected he was being protected a bit. I knew nothing about Pirog and his ko ratio wasnt spectacular but after the 1st round I turned to the missus and said Jacobs was going to get ko'd if he wasn't careful. Bingo. Right for once
