Dannys looking at a couple of credible opponents to bring one out to Australia in late NOV early December.
I don't think anyone will be dissapointed with who their looking at.
Danny knows he ****ed up taking the Briggs fight and his well aware that his rep has taken a hit but also the damage the fight did to the sport itself:-(
So lets hope Danny can get a decent fighter over here which I'm positive he will do because after chatting to him i could tell he was really hurt by the bad press he's been getting [thank god he doesnt get on this forum:yep]

The problem is talking with Danny months ago he had 2 or 3 big names he was talking with that all sounded good but fell through he stated he wouldn't fight briggs without him showing he still had it and obviously that all changed, Danny is talking with plenty but having trouble getting them over the line i hope the same doesn't happen again, hopefully him and J U stin can pull out a few dollars more made in this last fight to entice the bigger names over for his next fight though economically his fights in Peerth make less then his fights in Sydney so his overall profit from the last figth would have been well down had it stayed in Sydney

if green can talk himself up about how hard he punches etc. then unless his opponent is a huge name then it will be a dissapointment. talk about cameron is garbage. cameron is a noname on the world stage. it is barely better than siaca. cameron has beaten nonames ffs.

if green is so confident in his ability then fight one of the cruiser or light heavy champs or stfu.

there r no excuses. green is the one with the big mouth since beating jones, so start proving it.

les darcy and tony mundine managed it.....and won!!! and they were only middleweights.... !!!!!!

and there were thousands of registered boxers in darcys time, and probably a thousand or two in tonys time. there was no 'cruiserweight'......and they managed to beat the biggest and best at a much bigger weight.

so if danny wants to step up and fight a heavy.....he aint the first. its not out of the ordinary, and there is precident.

Basically i agree with everything you've said mate:good
If getting a big name out here means GMP has to take a cut in their profit then so be it they just have to save face and do it.
As for Briggs Molly said the same thing to me that Paul would have to pass all medicals and have at least 1 tune up before they would consider fighting him.
I guess they were pretty sure they would get Tarver but everytime it got close it brokedown again and the rematch clause was the final straw.
So i guess they saw the Briggs fight as a fill in fight which backfired big time.
In hindsight they should of pushed harder for the Tarver fight and i think they've learnt a lesson from this.
