Should Mosley and Hatton be stripped of their nicknames?

Yes, both of them aren't nearly spectacular enough fighters for either moniker. I disapprove of the use.

Sugar "Shot" Shane Mosley and
Ricky "Fatton" Hitman

 

Sadly, yea. They need to switch nicknames with Floyd and Manny. Mosley because he needs money badly because of his divorce and Hatton because he gobbles up too much food and really does look like a pacman.

 

TO much Shane bashing going on lately. I mean yeah he looked bad his last time out but what former great hasnt besides he was dominated by arguably the best PFP fighter in the game. In his prime Shane was a great fighter, not on SRL or Robinsons level but still an ATG imo. Is a former PFP #1 guy
and has also been pfp list for almost 15 years. Not too mention winning titles from Lw up to JM.

Hatton isnt wasnt a great fighter but a very good one in his prime. Hey TM what the hell have you ever done? Whats your record?

Mosleys best days were at 135 when he was in his prime and he was a pretty special fighter. Lost to some good fighters but came back to have good wins later in his career.

Hatton lost to the 2 best fighters (according to most) and was the king of the 140 division for a respectable period of time.

Neither are as great as the fighters you mention and I do think if you choose a nickname it should be original but they should not have their nicknames stripped, they are both respected fighters who beat good fighters and did boxing proud.

You forgot Carl "The Cobra" Froch.lol All jokes aside Ray Leonard said Shane deserves to keep his nickname so he deserves it. Ray freakin' Leonard said he deserved it so he keeps it no doubt in my mind. He'll always be seen as the lesser of the other two sugars so I cut him some slack not his fault but his greatness can't hold anything to SRL's and SRR's and people know that. As far as Ricky "Hitman" Hatton I don't really care he was a good fighter and I thing he should keep his aswell. If you strip their nicknames then you have to strip many other fighter's nicknames and that'll take too much time.

 

As much as I love Ray Leonard he never was and never will be as great as Robinson but is great enough to be a Sugar. Then later in the chain the same applies for Mosley he never was or will be as great as Leonard was but deserves his "Sugar" nickname.
