If Floyd was serious about stamping out PED use in boxing he would agree to random testing all year round, regardless of whether he is fighting or not.

Let's see how much he loves USADA when they pester him for his blood and pee as he's dancing by himself in a club

 

Mayweather could be using PEDs. I don't think you can rule out the possibility completely. But...who are you going to trust between a guy who has gone through OSDT and one who keeps refusing to participate in it?

There are so many ways to speculate in regards to why Floyd is taking time off. Didn't he already provide a reason? He believes his matches are like the Superbowl - they happen only once a year. I'm guessing more would mean overexposure. It's kinda like what's happening with UFC events. They happen so often that people lose a level of interest which results in the company losing revenue. You can gripe about him fighting only once a year but they are big fights nonetheless and they help the sport.

I think the cat will come out of the bag once Floyd makes his next major move. Until then no form of speculation holds any weight.

Floyd's drug testing is not really Olympic style. Olympic style will test athletes even when they aren't in training for the events themselves. They can catch you anytime. Floyd wants testing done in the 2 months of training to the day of the fight which isn't necessary if they can **** test you at will and you have blood samples for references between when you started training and when you finished the fight.
