I agree, always comes across as a proper sound guy in his interviews.

 

Really hope he does it, top guy is Enzo.

 

Enzo seems like a top man, at least he continued after the defeats and now has got himself back to a level where world title fights are still a possibility. Good luck to him

Good luck to Mac, my respect for him has risen post Haye, for getting down and working hard, and taking fights a lot fighters would not, such as going to St Petersburgh to fight some dude there, slowly working his way back up. Didn't really rate him that highly in the first place, but that doesn't matter, he's showing a fighters heart by willing to give it a go again properly.

 

He's worked hard, but I'm still disappointed he hasn't fundamentally improved his technique in the ring. The strengths he has now are still the same good strengths, but he still has the same flaws too.

 

His strength is his attack. If he defends and figthts on the back foot, the games over.

never been the same fighter since haye real shame for him , although i think he got caught up in the calzaghe stable hype at the time ,its been quite for him really, then he said he didnt want to box and switch to mma heart aint in it get out of it :deal

i defended big macc as much as anyone on here....and blamed his demise on enzo calzaghe as much as himself...
but, i think, and i have often been wrong about things before, but i think he has had the best of him beat out of him...if that makes sense...
he could have been a good, long reigned, wbo champion with the right trainer in my opinion...until he had to defend against Lebedev of course..

 

Totally agree. The Haye, Afolabi, and Lebedev fights have made him damaged goods.

 

I think the Haye fight seriously dented his confidence but he seems to be getting it back . he seems like a nice bloke . I've said it before and i'll say it again I'd love to see him fight Huck . I dont rate Huck at all and i reckon a fit Enzo would spark him in a couple of rounds . Anytime i've seen Huck he looks rotten unless he's fighting a belgian or an EE cab driver
