That fight was not nearly the disgrace that Homes vs. Ali was.... How could you forget that one?

As far as the question goes, I think it's a shame that people would even consider erasing the career of some of the people they are calling out...

    Floyd???
    Pac????
    Roy???
    Calzaghe???
    De La Hoya???

****ing ridiculous question if you ask me.

:thumbsup I'd go with this too

    or

Margarito, i have my own personal doubts about the legitimacy of his win over Cotto and obviously he was caught red handed against Mosley.

Sorry that I'm going off subject here but if it was anyone in boxing it would be Panama Lewis. In my opinion he is indirectly responsible for the deaths of two great fighters. Remove him from boxing history forever. Boxers, cheater or not all brave dangerous waters everytime they step into the ring for money and our entertainment. From good to bad I have to respect them all.

Jams Butler or Valero in reality...

but from a boxing standpoint, id go with Trinidad. Why? Because then i could have seen a prime Vargas continue on his reign to see if he would continue to improve and see how his career would unfold instead of getting brutally hammered that night to effectively put an end to his rise that fight.

of course i wouldnt want his career not to have been hes a great fighter, just having fun thinking and answering the question without taking it too seriously obviously.

One of the Klits, most likely Wlad.

Not out of hate or anything like that but if one of them were gone then the other could unify the division with no problems.

Does anybody think the crash may have harmed Valero mentally? I'm not trying to defend him but I was just thinking.

  7. Why dont u respect him? What has he done? I really dont know.

I think Valero is a crap choice I couldn't care less about what a fighter does in his spare time whoop his wife punch his mother in law I dont care. The fact of the matter is he was explosive in the ring exciting to watch and its a shame he died cos he was on the verge of fighting the best. Maybe some of you need to stop with the obsession with fighters on here **** like "Floyd has a $50,000 i pod what a disgrace" I dont care for none of that crap. In the boxing ring is what matters to me hence my choice of deleting Margarito from the record books.

On that note, if its removing a fighter as the thread starter suggests, I'd remove Aaron Pryor.

......alot of posters in this forum dont give it importance, but the cheat Aaron Pryor changed the course of history of one of the very best fighters to ever lace up boxing gloves.

Alexis Arguello is regarded as one of the elites in history regardless, but you take away that loss to Pryor and insert a title winning performance to become the first fighter in history to win 4 world titles in different weight classes, in an era when winning them actually was considered an incredible achievment.....
Had this happened, history today could very well show Arguello's name at or above the likes of Roberto Duran.

Hands down, I cant think of any other fighter but to remove Aaron Pryor. No other fighter is even a close second.:fire

I would remove the Klit Brothers (even though I know it's only supposed to be ONE fighter) because I feel like once Lewis retired and they took reign of the heavyweight division with a fighting style that the general public finds boring it caused the major downfall of boxing's popularity. The average sports fan and general public have always only cared about the heavyweight division, since the Klits have been champs in the division the public has lost interest in the division and in boxing all together. So based purely on the effect that a fighter/s had on the sport of boxing I feel like the Klits have hurt it the most in recent history. But in all fairness, that isn't their fault.

SRR. Thats right the original sugar. The reason for this is simple. On most peoples list he is consensus p4p 1 all time and by removing him the top spot is far more debatable. SRR dominated so badly that modern fighters will have no hope in hell of holding a torch to his legacy. No fighter currently is going to be 128-1 and undefeated as an amateur.
