I didn't get a chance to see the bout but heard it was an exciting scrap. For all of concepcions flaws and inexperience I knew he would show something, he's a great athlete. Juanma is entertaining and packs shocking power, he needs to polish his game up a bit and he'll be on his way

Yes, Many fighters struggle with weight. Some do well, some don't. The ones that don't move up. After he struggled with a journeyman, he moved up to fight the WBO champion at 126 who had never been stopped in 40 fights and stopped him in 7 rounds. Lopez beat a much better fighter then the one he had just struggled with.

So 9/18/10 who you got, Lopez or Marquez?

JuamMa's defense is not a Floyd or Winky, But I think his defense is better or at least on par with Isreal Vasqueaz.

JuanMa will be too big and too strong. Marquez will be game and give lopez some trouble but as the rounds start taking their toll, the war-torn Rafa will start crumbling. If Marquez can get to Lopez early, he might have a chance. It's looking like a Lopez victory (late TKO) at this weight and at this point in Marquez past prime career.

I can agree here, but once you get to the level his now at, in order to pull a Finitio (I mean stay undefeated here), JuanMa must up his defense. But I don't think JuanMa is planning on going his career undefeated, he likes getting the Ko too much, which is great for tv and I think will make him more $ in the long run.

Now don't get me wrong, JuanMa probably could easily get hit less, but Lopez likes to entertain his fans, and puts everything on the line to get his KO and it's damn exciting, and I respect his warrior mentality. Because is Marquez did Ko JuanMa, I will deff still be watching Lopez once he comes back.

I think Juan Manuel Lopez will win, but it be a great close fight, I dont think it goes the distance.

Stylez make fights nd they r both big at 118 nd 122. Lets c sum quality FW's squab. I'm picking the MArquez Borther if he still has 3-4 wars left. JuanMa iz a beast.

    Blessed.

Man I hope Rafael puts up the fight of his life in September.

What a way to hang em' up if Raf were to win, then walked away from the sport a champion...

    Wishful thinking I know.

I don't think Marquez has much left.

Otherwise Juanma wouldn't be fighting him! :D

    That would be awesome.

Always love the old vet pulling out the big upset against the young lion.
