Yet another, young lion, vs the seasoned vet matchup.

I honestly think Johnson has a damn good shot in this one. Mix Johnson's iron chin/workhorse style, with Clouds inactivity, I believe this is a toss up.

Maybe I'm a little delusional, but I think inactivity has already started to effect Cloud, ecspecially against shopworn Woods, which tunred out to be a decently competitive match.

When it comes to calling it though, I think its a logical call, and Cloud takes it via competitive decision. Cloud's high punch output will probably carry him to a 115-113 type decision.

I'd agree with this. Cloud should be a very slight favorite largely due to his age but Johnson is a tough out for anyone and is going to make it really tough on Cloud. Inactivity has been hurting Cloud for several years now from ringrust in the ring to marketablitiy outside of it. The guy has walked away from several televised dates already. He's an exciting fighter who keeps making some bad moves. I'm pulling for Cloud he's a new and exciting fighter that the division really needs. I like Johnson but I don't know many who would want to see Dawson-Johnson 3 anytime soon. Dawson-Cloud could be a serious lightheavyweight fight if built up properly but Cloud has to do his part.

I love Glenn and will root for him, but honestly, I seriously doubt he's getting Cloud. His age, Cloud's physicality. I just don't see it. This isn't Mack here we're dealing with.

Im on the same page as you.

I will watch this, and I will root for Glen, but I think Cloud is just too raw/young for Johnson at this point. Glen and Tavoris are both brusing beat you up kind of guys, but Cloud's punch output is just too high, and I highly doubt Johnson has enough of a punch to stop Cloud in his tracks.

Cloud being inactive so much is why I give Johnson more of a chance. Maybe Glen can get Cloud to gas out more than Woods did, later in the fight and make something happen.

I think Johnson showed in his fights with Dawson & Mack that he has started to slip a bit and cant maintain the kind of intense pressure he was capable of.

I think Cloud is like a younger version of Glen, only he can punch and is a better Boxer.

A couple years ago, I would've clearly edged Glen.

Now, even if I'm not as sure, I'm still calling for him to pull out one last good performance and pull off the upset.

At this point, I think Cloud takes a tight decision. Both fighters are their best as aggressive, volume punchers, but Cloud is stronger and fresher. Johnson, on the other hand, is harder to hit, and he has excellent subtle head movement, and probably has the better chin (just a guess - Cloud's chin has never been tested, but Johnson has an granite beard). I think it's a pretty even fight early on, but Cloud's harder punching will wear Johnson down and will allow him to take the later rounds in a good fight.

This is a toss-up for me for a lot of reasons. It's been a while since Johnson has faced a banger, and though Johnson has a granite beard Cloud has tested other guys who had stiff beards (Gomez had never been KO'd before Cloud in spite of the fact he had been in with a number of tough guys including Roy Jones, Clinton Woods only TKO came to Jones on cuts). Cloud definately has dynamite in his fists. Johnson has a very underrated defense, he'll smother a lot of Cloud's punches. I do think that Johnson is probably the most physical fighter Cloud has fought (neither Gomez or Woods possessed power to keep him off).

It's a toss-up, I think I'll favor Cloud in a tight, maybe contraversial decision win.

I got Cloud on points in a relatively close fight where Glen fades in the later rounds and gets beaten up.

Glen Johnson is one of those guys I almost always root for, but I agree that he is past his best, and may have serious problems with Cloud's work rate and power.

Cloud will take it IMO. Anyone think he's able to stop Glen? He's as tough as old boots but it just might be the night he gets very old (although that's been said a lot over the years!)

^ I dunno about stopping Johnson .. I'd wage bigger money on Johnson complaining about the decision post fight.

Cloud's inactivity doesn't really help him and Glen could pull off the upset.

**bummer its on HBO, this would have made a great Friday Night Fights main event.
