    From ESPN.com

Lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez's decision against Juan Diaz in their pay-per-view rematch of 2009's fight of the year last week generated between 150,000 and 200,000 buys, far exceeding what was needed to break even, Golden Boy's Schaefer told ESPN.com. "I think it has an opportunity to reach 200,000," Schaefer said. "We only have the satellite numbers, but they are strong. I'm very pleased. With the gate we did, $900,000, and the closed circuit, it shows that Marquez has established himself as a star in the United States.

GBP spent $4million putting this together. They will take half of the $60 PPV money.

That means GBP made a minimum of $6million from this PPV and its likley Khan vs Marquez will be PPV.

That's 1m buys at under £15 each...not the $60 that HBO charge. Still 1m in the UK is a great figure.

$60 for any PPV is crazy. If they charged much less then they would do a lot more buys and more people would see the fights. PPV of small fights is short sighted.

If you don't see why Marquez-Diaz was up against it, then there's no hope for you!

they should make lesser profile ppvs like this on 30-40$ then when pac or mayweather are on charge the 60-65$ , i see why some dont buy even if they wanted to they think"i just paid 60 to watch mayweather against mosley and whilst i like this fight its not on the same level "

America is stupid. I would pay the Brit ppv price for Khan vs Marquez though.
