Mabye he would. But I have yet to see him pushed at all. I wouldnt like to see him pushed in with guys like Machida or Shogun early. As for Anderson...
I saw Bones toss Matt Hamill like a ****ing rag doll :deal I'm not imagining here that Hamill is some kind of elite MMA fighter, but I am saying that the one part of his game he is great at is "not being tossed around like a ragdoll". Jones appears bigger, stronger and more athletic than Rashad, I honestly think if Rashad fights him he will meet a guy who is more athletic than himself, stronger than himself and equally, if not more versatile. King Mo? Eh not certain, but from what I've seen, I don't see anything that would tell me he would be able to control Bones like he did Mousasi. You can pretend he has been fighting "gate keepers" all you want, but what he did to Vera was outright scary. Go watch the Vera/Couture fight again. Vera won that damn fight, and even if he didn't "win on the cards", it was clear to everyone that Vera got the better of him that night....and stuffed every takedown. So that tells me Vera is an elite fighter, and his history proves it. He has NEVER been handled and outright destroyed like he was against Jones. :deal
Yeah genius. I bet alot of people would pick Shogun to beat every fighter on that list....does that mean Shogun is the best ever? NO, it just means that head to head, I would pick Jones to beat any other fighter in or around his weightclass at this current time. I'd also pick Devon Alexander to beat any LWW right now.....AND NO i DON'T THINK DEVON ALEXANDER IS THE BEST P4P OR EVER....you idiot atsch
They need to give him a tough fight at this point imo. This isn't boxing, he just had a more than convincing fight against a guy who should have superior wrestling than him. His striking is what keeps guys wary, but imo it may also be his weakness.. Every time you attempt a low percentage attack, it also means you are very open for counters. Guys who have good reflexes and are well versed in striking may be able to pick up on his standup game and take advantage, but still remains to be seen. What is it about Jones that people don't like though? He's a classy guy, he shows up to entertain and tries to finish fights.. Is it that he's young, or confident, or black or something? The only thing I find questionable about him is his size. He looks like a ****ing monster in there, easily a medium sized heavy who comes down to fight light heavy. Other than that, the point about whether he has good bjj or sub defense is also legit. But he just strikes me as a guy who will be very tough to get on his back.. Looks solid from dominant position as far as I have seen. Lesnar comes in and gets a title shot near immediately... Bones? He needs to be in there with with a big name. He's been in there with enough guys to groom him and give him looks, it really seems what has happened. On a good note, at least he wasn't thrown to the lions early. He should be ready at this point is all I'm saying.
The first time someone hits him he will fold and quit! FFS if Bonnar had put any combinations together in the third round of their fight, Jones would have caved in. The guy seems like a typical front-runner. When better fighters in their primes push/fight back, his true nature will come out.
What about the heavy illegal upkick Vera delivered? He could have quit and got a DQ win if he really folded when getting hit. And he has improved since his fight with Bonnar. His second fight in the UFC.
Very very good all round fighter, how he would do against shogun, rampage, silva, machida, rashad is debatable i dont think you can ever say anyone could convincingly beat these fighters what i mean by that is they are all capable of beating each other - amazing athleticism and unique technique I look at him as a young anderson silva...although he is fighting right now how anderson silva should be fighting. Definately going to be a LHW contender.
I think you just might have made people's head explode when you said "would destroy" rather than something like "I think would beat". One implies he could handle them all, going undefeated, easily, the other says, in my eyes, that he has the potential to beat any one given individual.
you are high off your ass,i know hes good but when you say he could beat rashaad evans, and rampage or maybe griffin ,you are retarted, and ithink your overdoing it a bit.bones is very good but not good enough yet to beat a rashad evans
