I would hand over $50-$60 easily to watch P.W. vs. Floyd and/or Manny. However, we're lying to ourselves to think that Arum would ever let that happen, or that Floyd would do it with the Manny fight still up in the air.

no the weight does make a differnence. you want to be a force at 147, fight at 147. nah i using the term "ducking" when i think someone is being a coward i.e. bowe was a coward when he wouldnt face lewis.

at 154 i would love to see williams vs either fighter.

at 147 no, i dont believe anyone would get any credit as he hasnt fought there in 2 years and people would claim he is weight drained.

it aint so much a stipulation as a viewpoint.

lets say floyd fights williams at 147. and beats him. everyone will say it is due to weight drain. it is a lose-lose situation. he hasnt fought there in 2 years.

at 154 he has proven to be strong, there would be no excuses.

so yes at 154 williams is the best option, and miles more preferable to margo. at 147 i just dont see floyd nor pac getting much credit.

Why is Paul Williams ducking Martinez?

And what the **** has Williams done @147 to deserve a shot with either Mayweather or Pacquiao?

He's done as much at 147 as:

    JMM
    Joshua Clottey
    Antonio Margarito

So how did these guys actually deserve a shot any more than Paul?

At 147 Paul has done enough to deserve a shot. But,

Regardless, It is boxing tradition that guys who are deemed the man or a top man/belt holder at one division are granted a shot at the best at another division.

It has always been that way forever and is a generally good rule. This is why marquez was able to fight floyd straight off. This is why Pacman was able to fight david diaz straight off. this is why billy conn was able to fight Louis straight off. This is why Trinidad was able to go up in weight and fight straight off. it is also why Dawson could go down to super middle and get a fight straight off.

This whole line of what has he done at 147 recently is ridiculous!!

Just because my points are good and yours lack, don't feel so hurt.

Again, fan of Sergio more than Williams. Will again root for Sergio in the rematch.

He isn't ducking him. He already fought him. He is looking at his options at this point.
At least he fought Sergio. Can't say the same for others who won't even step into the ring with someone even the first time around.

Williams beat Margarito for a title. That's a prime Margarito with possible plaster.

What did Margarito do to deserve a shot at Pac, Cotto, and Shane after losing to Williams?

After Williams beat Margarito, shouldn't that have done something for his position to fight any of those guys?
