UFC 117 Anderson Vs Sonnen RBR/Discussion

The Silva bandwagon has just massively emptied I'd say. He got semi-exposed tonight. I feel a bit bad for Sonnen as he looked amazing for 4 1/2 rounds and then choked. The roll to get out of Silva's leg catch was awesome.

 

That was absolutely hilarious.

 

Even though GSP is smaller than silva, I think he ****s him up!!!

 

Yea that Sub was lucky as hell!

 

Dont know why everyone including the offical record is saying Silva won by Triangle. The moment Sonnen tapped there was no pressure on his neck it was an armbar his arm was being hyper extended and he tapped out.

 

LOL ! Just watched the fight ! I cant believe how not many of you are showing Silva an ounce of respect for doing exactly what he needed to though ? Shallow *******s !

GSP beats Silva. I'd put a ton of money on it.

Its ashame GSP is content beating up on mediocre fighters at WW instead of fighting legacy fights for tons of money.

Unfortunately for him, the Silva/GSP ship has sailed as Sonnen pretty much wrote the book on how to beat Silva. Well, in all fairness, you can read the book all you want but if you dont have great wrestling you wont win.

 

How? He gets beat up for 4 rounds then does what all great fighters have to do at least once - dig deep and pull somthing out the bag.

 

I agree.... UNLESS its Silva or GSP getting ground and pounded lol :happy Honestly the fight I want to see is Silva at LHW against Jon Jones. That would be killer!

 

Silva's stock should rise with this win not go down he came back and pulled out a great win on the brink of defeat this is what legends are made out of.

 

i totally disagree, if silva was 100% he would have pulled that sub ages b4 & something tells me shael would be ko'd even sonner.

silva was injured & it showed

That was just another BS Silva Excuse like he comes up with time and time again.

I tell you what happened tonight and its the truth. Silva was getting beaten up for 4 and half rounds now if he was so in control i feel he maybe would have tried submitting Sonnen earlier but Chael never made a mistake he did everything right up into the last round with 2.30 minutes to go.

I saw it as more of a mistake by Sonnen than some great move by Silva.

Silva got lucky end of story.
