I scored it basically the same I had it 115-112 Cloud because I had an even round. Tough fight but Johnson has nothing to complain about this time (and I am one of his biggest fans). Cloud did not hunt, peck, and hide from him to win a hometown decision. Tavoris took the fight to him and won it.
Easy fight to score 115-113 Cloud. And Johnson wasn't really crying about the decision, it's just a business move. He's just trying to get across the point that this was a super close fight and that he is still in the mix and deserves another payday. It's part of boxing, almost EVERY veteran fighter does this after he loses a close but clear fight.
^ yeah but it seems after every close fight loss Johnson whines about how he got screwed. saying you believe you won is one thing, but Johnson seems to act as if every loss is some sort of BS highway robbery against him.
yeah really .. I don't think making a youtube video trying to explain why you really won a fight you lost is humble or classy I think its kind of pathetic to be honest. ** has Johnson every accepted a decision loss? or does he always complain post fight? and IMO Dawson-Johnson 1 wasn't even that controversial ... besides every judge having it 8-4 all of press row had Johnson behind big early, and rallying late to lose a close fight. 4 rounds seems too little to give Johnson vs Dawson, but he still lost. He doesn't have to act like he came out and was beating Dawson pillar to post for the first 8 rounds.
Wow couldnt have said it better myself. Scored it 115-114 Cloud, with one even round. Cloud has some pop on those punches, just not sure if he would get off against Dawson who is much quicker
there is a slight arguement for a draw, and whilst I gave Johnson the last round this was my card 1) Cloud 2) Johnson 3) Johnson 4) Cloud 5) Cloud 6) Cloud 7) Johnson 8) Cloud 9) Johnson 10) Cloud 11) Cloud 12) Johnson 115-113 - Cloud. rounds 2 & 3 were perhaps the best of the fight. It was a decent scrap.
I scored the fight for Glen Johnson. 115-113. It was clearly a back and forth fight. Cloud could not deal with glens offense, When glen went offense Cloud was clueless what to do. He is a terrible counter puncher. Also, Glen won the inside fight imo. When cloud stepped back he was able to land his shots but he didnt do that often enough. Imo Cloud had some flurries and actually hurt johnson at one point which was def a cloud rd. But, on a rbr basis the steady inside work, the superior jab and the over hand rights won Johnson the fight clearly on my card. I even gave Cloud the 12th So i had GJ ahead comfortably. Cloud was beat up at the end of the fight. he needs to really improve becuase he is not in the league of Chad dawson. Cloud had leaky defense, poor counter punching, is easily controlled by the jab. Not the qualities to win big fights.
