They said Prime Bowe. Bowe's best was surely up to and for Holyfield I. Holyfield and Bowe went to war with each other 3x before Bowe stepped into the ring with Foul-Pole Golota. Even by the second fight with Holyfield, you could tell Bowe wasn't taking boxing serious enough. His weight would balloon way up to 285+ when not fighting. That's one thing he truly lacked was the long term desire. He could look drained at times later on because he would have to diet down so much. I can't remember the story exactly with what was told about him and the Olympics, about getting his ass up to get on the plane, but it was pretty bad with how much lack of desire Bowe could have. Futch of course helped change that along with his overall ability...which made Bowe a better fighter both mentally and physically. I think Bowe beats Wlad because Bowe was the better fighter. He can go to war. Wlad can buckle under heavy pressure..not to mention his chin isn't the greatest either. Still a very good fighter though but just wrong for a Prime Bowe.
i see Bowe slipping Wlad's jab and dropping an overhand right on Wlad multiple times throughout the fight along with body shots with the left and right, until the 5th round, Bowe drops an overhand right on Wlad's chin and Wlad backs up and Bowe puts him against the ropes and UNLOADS on Wlad, Wlad slumps to the floor and the ref stops the fight immediately Bowe TKO5 Wladimir Klitchko
Disagree, Andrew's jab was better than Wlad's and 1996 Golota might have given Wlad brain damage. Golota was favored to beat Lewis and look how that turned out. You just never know where the wind blows.
Easy to say but think how Wlad might react when he tastes one overhand right from Bowe. Bowe fights to the death, something Wlad knows nothing about.
No. Regardless of the outcome, Wlad fights Bowe very, very cautiously. Wlad isn't even beating the less than mediocre competition he's faced with today "to a bloody pulp inside of 6 rounds.", that's why he isn't popular with a lot of people, he has the tools to do it but quite rightly he doesn't have the confidence in his chin. Now you expect him to do that to Bowe when he's fighting cautiously into the late rounds against fighters who are two or three levels below him?
I think Bowe wins. Wlad would have his moments, but Bowe is more active and would land more because of it. I could see Wlad winning if he matched Bowe's output though which is unlikely.
atschatschatsch So Wlad who is super cautious behind the jab vs people like Eddie Chambers, Ibragimov and Chagaev, is going to beat the hell out of a prime Riddick Bowe and take him out in 6 rounds?
Bowe had the shortest "prime" of any modern fighter then. Whatever, I don't agree. Andrew Golota fought & beat the **** outta prime Bowe twice & Wladimir does everything better than Golota.
