Why won't cotto fight Berto?

Here's a fact, a source within the camp of Cotto says that Cotto has no interest in fighting Berto.

This would be a good scrap, id go with Berto, Cotto's been in a lot of tough punishing fight's and it's catching up to him....

 

Damn, that article is depressing. If, If, If. No mention of Chavez, Jr. How much more money does Arum need with all this inhouse BS. I can see it now, Cotto vs Pac for the WBC and WBA 150 new division belts.

 

Was this thread made to say Cotto is scared? I hope not cuz he has fought everybody, i mean everybody in his path. Even if he has a possibility of losing.

 

Cotto ducks no one and if had his way he would fight him, but I think Cotto belongs in 154 now. If Berto has a chance to fight him it would have to be at 154. I do think Berto has a puncher's chance and has a mean uppercut, but Cotto has much better skills than Berto and can pummel him for a win. but yea arum will keep it in the family as much as he can.

 

Cotto is getting towards the end of his career and he's been through a few wars. He's looking to probably only make big fights, not prove himself. Berto would be a good challenge, theres no denying that, but it could also derail a possible rematch with Pac or Margarito is he loses. Both fights would be huge compared to Berto. Probably why he's looking to take on Vanes or Chavez jr.

 

I'm sure most of it is on Berto and top rank... Cotto would love to get his mits on someone like berto.

 

The fight might happen, after all Cotto has fought most of the Top Rank Stable and there is NO reason for him to fight Pac ever again.

 

So, where is your source where Cotto said he won't fight Berto ?

If he is willing to rematch Margarita, Pacquiao, Mosley and the top names....what is your pretext for making such a thread ?

cotto is chillin, he is only human.berto would be a hard fight for cotto and im not sure cotto can deal with the young bull.cotto needs to be matched carefully because one more beat down he takes might do it for him.id rather cotto fight and out box mosley again at 154.i wanted him to take spinks belt at 14 but that bum jut loss it anyways.berto vs cotto im going with berto but i want cotto to win a few more fights before he gets beat again.
