UFC has 'locker room full of cowards' says Sonnen after Silva defeat.......video

I thought that the way he was talking before his match with anderson was just hype, but after his fight with silva and after hearing that video I am forced to accept he is absolutely sincere. cheal has a fighters attitude that you wish all fighters had in any combat sport.

cheal sonnen wants to be the best, and he came just 1 min short of proving that he is. good luck to him in his next fight.

 

after what he has shown in that fight... he deserve to talk some smack IMO, the guy can back it up anyway.

 

He doesn't say anything untrue. I think people get upset when someone speaks the truth. Until last Sat no one was willing to take the fight to Silva, everyone thought his stand-up was too great. We'll see how this effects Silva in his next fight (whoever it will be).

 

He is right though, Silva is good but he (Chael) is the BEST! Silva is considered the best 185'er in the world. Sonnen just dominated him barring the sub.

Lets all be honest with ourselves here, if you dominate the champion like that then you have to be the best. He also took the manhoods of Silvas toughest contenders in NAte and Okami (Both beaten by Chael more impressively).

Point is, as a competitive fighter and if you put yourself in his shoes after what hes done in the last year, shoot Id be convinced Im the best as well.

 

He's one tough SOB, and if any of the cowards don't like what he says, call him out on it. I got a sneaky feeling that after seeing him in this fight, the cowards are going to stay cowards..........

 

Chael's gonna get subbed again. He never learns. He can be dominant for an entire fight, but at any second, he could get tapped.

 

Sonnen is a dog.. His time will come.

That was probably the most well thought out interview from an MMA fighter in a while.

Minus the part about him and Couture being the best fighters in the UFC.

 

I think he meant by match-up Couture would beat him. He has probably wrestled with him in training and knows he is too big. Other then that he probably feels he can out wrestle anyone else in and around his weight.

 

leben sure took the fight to silva and got the worst beating of his life. rich franklin did his best to out strike silva and got the worst beating of his career..... twice.

If people think the lesson learned from ufc 117 is that you just have to "take the fight to silva" they will be in for a beating. dont be fooled, sonnen held his own and even won exchanges but received damage while trading with silva then took anderson down. No doubt sonnen would have been koed if he kept the fight standing.

So people got mad at Silva for his antics and talking **** to his previous opponent and everyone just turned their back on him.

Then this white American disrespects his opponent and basically anyone else he can think of but he is cool. Hmmm yea he is like the PBF of MMA but he isnt hated. Lets see i only see one difference between them.....
